WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Yesterday I was watering the flowers and garden and had gotten about half way thru it and I was about worn out from dragging the hose here and there....i looked up and said God we sure could use some rain and I would quit wasting the water here if you would. Anyway I went in the house and all of a sudden I heard this big clap of thunder...looked out and we had a big black cloud rolling in . I smiled and said thank you  God and went out and turned off the water to everything, ran over to the rental and put down the windows and on the way back it started raining lol now tell me God doesn’t listen to us we need and when. So will leave it to him.

Debbie so good to see you posting again. we have missed you can you come over to Sedalia at noon on the 9th of sept? would love to see you. Maybe you could get miss Peggy to come with you...and Barb..

I am still praying for your husband and getting a job. Im sure that some of his medical problems will clear up without the stress of not having work...they were saying on our news last night that the Ozarks has had an increase of jobs posted ....so maybe it will be that way everywhere.

Im glad that you all are able to make it without David having a job , must have been good planning on your all part. It isn’t easy to save much now days and some don’t have any....

Hope you come on here more now that the kids are setteled in school ....

Susan your picture really shows up how much you have lost girl....you are getting really thin...just don’t get too skinny...

Andy glad you liked the salsa....hey you don’t have to bring me everything that you canned lol ....just a bit ....i really like my salsa too. I think it is as good as pace lol

Susie don’t try to rush DH into surgery for his back too fast...if you can get the doctors to tell you the truth most of the pain in any back is muscles not the bones...if you can get the muscles lined out and lossened up the pain goes away....the trick is to get them loosened and keep them that way. Usually between chiropractor and massage therapist will do it but it has to be an on going thing. But anything is better than surgery. ...which most of the time doesn’t help the pain. Will correct nerves that are being pressed on and things like that but most people that have back surgery still have pain,

Lou did you ever get hold of the lady at the library.?   I bet you are glad to have your baby back home now huh?

Glad your dad is better....and that the bathroom is ab out done.

Wow Mr. Arkansas  well wont that be nice to look at....lol ...and im sure he can help some of us out some way or the other.  Bec you need to come down to that meeting and pick his brain .

You are doing so good at this. You were made for it. lol

Jo im glad the benadry is working for you. It doesn’t make you groggy? That is good if it doesn’t . I have never heard of any one getting addicted to it.

What are the sandwich thins you were talking about. Is it bread or what?where are you getting all this good stuff ??? do you order the carbquick ???   can you get off work on the 9th of sept? would love to meet you. Iin Sedalia at noon at the golden corral.

Not much new here except I have not had pork rinds for four days. I really miss them. I am trying to be strong. I keep telling myself I can't keep eating these things after the honeymoon is over so I need to stop now. I figure I will buy some today and see how long I can wait to open them.
I don't know if I can be there on the ninth yet or not but I will try. I have an appointment later in the month I have to get approved by my insurance or I would try to move it to the ninth.
Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning All....

Mimi ~ sure wish I could come for the fitness fella... I need HELP! sag sag sag and more SAG!!! ~ha

If he was coming next month I might of been able to pull it off but that's the way it goes... take good notes for me... kay? Find out what I can do for this poor poor poor body! ~tee hee

Well yesterday I made four Dr. appts for myself... it will be time here in a bit to have my yearly exams and I have to get my eyes tested and some dental work done too... ugh, I'm terrible about putting off things like that and at some point I just have to buckle down and gitter done! ~ha

It won't be long and it will be time for all the fall activities, craft and farm shows ... etc.  I am looking forward to the Fall and Christmas this year!  Crystal is going to help me get out all the decorations for both.  I did not do much last year as it was right before my surgery and I just felt awful and then both girls were gone and this year they both are here!  I LOVE THAT! It's been so nice to have them home for the summer!

Lou ~ I was so glad you hear your dad came thru his surgery successfully... I have prayed every day that all would be well.

Barb, Cor and possibly Susie ~ I'm thrilled you ladies plan to come to the lunch on the 9th!

Debbie Darl'n ~ I love it that you got the Wii Fit... I will be interested to see how you like it ... may just need to jump on it when I come up for my yearly appt... or maybe not as I won't want to embarrass myself and put poor David thru torture! ~tee hee  It was wonderful to talk with you yesterday!  You are a precious friend! I still cannot think of you without a grateful heart as I approach my one year mark and think of how you stuck by me every appointment I had and all that stress I went thru at the time and you dear lady are still right there and going to my appts even at a year out!  You are amazing!

I have met so many many wonderful folks thru this journey... and I'm thankful for every one of you that have touched my life!

Jo ~  It would be wonderful if you could come to the lunch on the 9th so we could meet you... I know you may not be able too, it is how I got to know so many lovely people ... I just stepped out (not my normal M~O) and boy was I glad I did!  If not this time maybe you will be able to come to another get together some time in the future?

The neighbor brought over some fresh green beans last night so am going to steam them today and put some seasoning and spray butter on them.... sure would like to have a big pot of green beans and new potatoes seasoned with bacon!... but that's not in the plan for me so will be happy with the fresh crisp beans...

Well I'm  going to sew some new "room darkeners" for my bed room today... I use them when Paul is working nights so he can sleep better. The ones I've been using are all faded and just needs to be replaced... and I need to get in there and call the dentist, and have some chores to do too. So better get on the move for the day.

You all have a wonderful day.

We have had plenty of rain, 4.5" in Raytown, and more on the way.  It has been a weird summer weatherwise.

The Benadryl is working really well.  It helps my allergies too and it's cheap.  I'm glad to be off the Ambien.  I never did any sleepwalking but I've heard horror stores about people that have.

The bread I mentioned is Oro Wheat Sandwich Thins.  I got it at Walmart but Hy-Vee has it too.  It's kind of like an English muffin but softer and thinner.  Really good toasted.  I'm going to make a BLT with it.  I keep the thin bread in the freezer an use 1 slice with my BLT but the sandwich thins will be better.

Carbquick was ordered from netrition.com.  Can't find it locally.  I really liked the biscuits I made with it but the cobbler was a little grainy.  Next time I'm going to use half Bisquick and half Carbquick.  It really is a good sub for us that are watching our carbs.

Susan, do you and Andy stick with a high protein, low carb diet?  I haven't tracked my food for a couple weeks so need to do that again.  I was getting about 40 net carbs a day.  16 more lbs. to go to meet my doctor's goal and 26 to meet mine.

I can't make it on the 9th.  I'm taking off Sept. 3 thru the 8th.  Hummm.....maybe I can extend it to the 9th.  I'll see.  Do husbands come or just the surgery patients?
