WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY
I guess what ever I had/have is contagious as Joe has the same thing now...he at least has more sense than I do about being sick, he goes to bed and stays there until he feels better. I always feel like if I go to bed im giving in lol .
I had to go turn the water on in the garden...dont know when we are going to get any more rain. Its either feast or famine on the rainfall I guess. Good thing I have soaker hoses down all my rows.
My beets are coming up really good but they seem to be sort of stunted. I hope they get to growing. Im going to have to replant my turnips and spinach I guess would like some of them for the freezer...
I was able to do a little bit of yard work today but got too hot really quick....will try doing some more before it gets dark....
Will get up early in am and start in , im so far behind on all of it. ...if we don’t rent the house this month we are going to put it up for sale and see what happens. I think there might be a buyer of some people that come down here visiting these other people... would be good too. wouldn’t have to keep insurance , taxes and upkeep up on it. ....
Boy I tell you I need a couple of yard boys that know flowers from weeds and can pull weeds lol it has just grown up so badly with us spending all our time working on the house and then being sick ...so weeds are everywhere, ponds need to be cleaned, pathways need to be cleaned up have about a straight weeks worth of work to do.
Sugar don’t worry there is going to be a lot of okra, but the way you described the way you like it sounds nasty.yuck....but I will bring you some on the 24th ....will bring you what ever else I have to bring.
I bet you are glad that Rick is home now. I know I would be
if it were Joe.
Susan I couldn’t believe how much you have lost since you all moved. Wow. A size 12 and they weren’t too tight on you either. If I could get into an 8 I would give you all my 10s for sure but I bet you go even lower than a 10 just don’t try to get too small, some people get anorexic and want to go smaller and smaller until they don’t look good at all.
I dont think our job is to get down to a size three or less , but is to get down low enough
that we are healthy and feel good
Probably more green beans, more beets less tomatoes, more eggplant. And less peppers. I don’t need but one green pepper plant and maybe 4 jalapeneos, im already planning on where it all will go and all. lol .
True gardeners huh? In fact I already have my order made out to send off later on. Lol
Jo glad to see you are trying to figure out how to get rid of the ambian . being addicted to anything is so hard to beat but you can just know that we are praying for you. I will be praying that nighttime will find you nice and sleepy and will go to sleep and sleep like a baby all night. Lavendar sprays do help just spray them on your pillow. It is fantastic , relaxes you really well.
I cant take Benadryl at all...it will make me druggy for 2 to 3 days from taking it one night. I have it on hand only because im allergic to any type of sting so I have it on hand for that.
Isn’t it great to not be so self conscious about your butt? Lol I have always been self conscious until this time ,there were times in my life that I was littlier than I am now even but was still self conscious. Now I know im not that big and I believe it in my brain lol it takes awhile to get there for some of us I guess ....
Cor didnt mean to ignor you sweetie...i posted early and went to bed lol ....like Susan said shoo that rain on down our way..im having to water the garden and i hate doing that but thank goodness for drip lines.
im glad that you finally found a protein drink that you like. are your levels on vits and stuff doing better? i do hope you are taking all of them daily now., you have to get your health back , your body sure dont know what to do with anything anymore does it? take care of yourself. ok?

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
"Good Morning" Mama Jan & MO Peeps!
I was just checking the board and saw Jan's post come up and thought I'd be the first one to post. Sorry I haven't been posting much, there have been so many things going on in my life!
We took Luke to Emporia State University today. Got him all situated. He starts his job at ESU tomorrow. He's the "Executive Assistant" to the President of Student Government. He'll work 10 hours a week at $7.25 an hour. They are flexible and will work around his class schedule. Plus his office is right across from his dorm! Couldn't ask for a better job if you ask me. He's still enrolled as a Political Science Major. However, he did have breakfast with our Pastor (per Luke's request) last Friday. Luke still feels he has been called into ministry, however, he had already enrolled at ESU. So please keep him in your prayers.
It was with mixed emotions that I left him at ESU. Will have to continue to ask the Lord to guide and protect him. I know HE always has and will continue to do so.
Jake started High School last Thursday. He decided to go out for Freshman Football. Needless to say, our schedule will be a busy one! They will be having TWO Freshman Football teams and Jake is expected to be at BOTH of them whether he's on that team or not. I probably will only be at the ones that he will be playing. The GEHS 10th thru 12th grade Football Team last year came in 2nd for State. They fully expect to get the State Championship this year. I know we pay that coach enough $$.....just seems like FB take priority over a lot of other things which I do not approve of at all. It's something Jake really wants to do. Please pray for his safety and my sanity! lol!
Precious has been gone over 2 weeks now and we all still miss her so much. Roxie is moping around the house. Of course, Bella, the BIG 5 month old didn't really know Precious like Roxie did so I don't think it's affected her. My DH has been lost without P. He asked me a couple nights ago if I had thought about getting another toy poodle. Sounds crazy right!? Well, I was actually on line looking for a toy poodle puppy when he asked me that question! Actually, I had been looking for a couple days but hadn't said anything to him about it. There's a couple tiny toy poodles available near ESU so we may go look at them Tuesday. We will see what happens. I know, I need another "puppy" like I need another baby! NOT!
David is still without a job. He is going to apply for an Inside Sales position here in town tomorrow morning. It's for a company he used to buy from when he was with McCray. So please pray he at least gets an interview. It's been a long 9 months to say the least.
Luke and all the youth from our church was exposed to Swine Flu at Super Summer in Salina, KS the first week in August. Apparently, at least 9 kids that were at the camp were diag. with it! I took Luke to the Emergency Care Clinic Friday night and they said he tested negative. However, he has a bad case of bronchitis and they put him on the z pack and some steroids. Our doctor was on vacation and when we went to his office to see another doctor, they weren't taking anymore walk in patients. So had to go to the clinic. Luke still has a bad cough. I'm going to call our PCP tomorrow and ask him to call Luke in another prescription, will also let him know the situation. If it's not one thing it's another!
David also has an apt tomorrow afternoon with a gastrologist. Our PCP says he has diverticulitis. He put him on antibiotics and it did go away, however, we believe it has returned. It's time for David's colons-copy and scope anyway and we've been seeing this specialist for 10 years now. He's at St. Luke's North in KC, MO. I know stress has brought all of this on...just hope and pray it's nothing serious.
I believe I'm low on iron. I'm going to see my PCP this week and ask him to run the test. I am SO tired but of course it's been stressful with Luke and Brad living here then "poof" they're gone away to college. On one hand I think I'm going to enjoy the time we get to spend along with Jake and on another hand I'm already missing Luke.
Well, it's been a loooonnnnnggg day and I need to get to bed. Unfortunately, I have a 1001 things to try and get done tomorrow. I love all of you and I truly enjoy reading all your posts! I will try to start posting more once things get back to normal. I am still trusting the Lord that David will get a job and that things will return to normal...whatever He decides is normal. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!

jo getting into smaller size's is a good feeling.andy is almost in a size 44 pant's.when i had my surgery we stopped at a walmart on the way home and he bought his first pair of jean's from there.the first time in a long time.he wore them out of the store.it is soo nice for the both of us not to have to go to a big size clothing store anymore to buy clothe's.it is 5 month's today since i had my surgery.

Just had to "pop" back up here and say that you and Andy look TERRIFIC!! Wow, you're in a size 12!! Won't be long those 10's will be calling your name! I can remember meeting you last Fall, I think, at Peg's house then seeing you again at the COF Christmas meeting. As Loretta Lynn used to sing "You've come along way baby!" Wow, I guess that probably dated me a little! lol!
Again you and Andy are doing great! Congrats on a job well done!
Debbie D.
Andy
Dh still is in a lot of pain with his back. He went to work this morning but I know he didn't want to. I wish there was something the doctors could do for him but they haven't been much help in the past. I think he needs to have his spine fused but that is a major deal and I don't know if he would even do it if the doctor said its time.
I hope we get some decent rain today, just a few sprinkles yesterday. Our grass is crunchy and getting brown, most of it is weeds so I am not to upset. At least its not growing fast and I am not having to cut grass everyday.
I hope you all have a great day.
Andy and Susan, you two look FANTASTIC! I love the new pics!
Jan, I emailed that lady at the library about the room, I haven't heard anything yet. I guess I may need to call her. Brenda Nutt is trying to help me get Mr. Arkansas for the meeting, he's a personal trainer and nutritionist. He hasn't commented just yet, but I have my fingers crossed, I may call her today.
Well I guess I better get cracking I have to clean up Jades room and wash all her bed clothes there is drywall dust everywhere, Oh the nightmare! I hope everyone has a wonderful day! ;) Lou
I took Benadryl again last night and slept well. Did have a weird dream about my dad who passed away over 7 years ago. It wasn't scary but just strange when I woke up and remembered.
Yesterday I made Peach Cobbler using the CarbQuick. It was ok but it's not as good as Bisquick.
Anyone try the Oro Wheat Sandwich Thins? Very good. The whole thing is 100 calories, 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. Half of one is plenty. It went down well too. Some breads I just can't eat.
