Daily Bible Reading - Monday August 10th
I just discovered over the weekend that we as Christians can’t fail unless we allow ourselves to fail. If we get a hold of who we are in Christ, that we are the Sons of God, we’ll realize that we are set up for success and victory. That means we are set up to succeed in losing weight, it’s already done for us, we just have to get a hold of it and run with it. As the devotional says in II Timothy 1:7 “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self-discipline." See? We’ve been given the power and self-discipline to succeed in this, now we just have take it and run with it, wow!! The devil don’t want us to succeed but God sure does and I know I am on Gods side so it’s all mine, yay!!!
***Bec*** My silly computer is acting crazy I guess lol. I think I only enlarged the font to the next size, maybe its OH not doin right for me, we’ll get the size right lol. You are so right about having a sweet forgiving spirit. When we have that sweet spirit it also gives us endurance, I dunno about you but I need all the endurance I can get in getting the rest of this weight off. Thanks for sharing that, I really needed to hear that.

II Timothy 1
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline"
God's desire is that we continually progress, that we reach higher heights and go to new levels. Oftentimes, as soon as we make the decision to step out in faith and obey God, the enemy brings in fear to try to stop us. He'll bring thoughts like, "What if you fail? What are other people going to think? You don't have what it takes." He'll do his best to use fear to try to convince us to shrink back and stay where we are.
The Bible says that fear is a spirit. It plays on our emotions and holds us back. But the good news is that we have power over fear! The Bible says that perfect love casts out all fear. When we receive God's perfect love, we will have confidence about the future because we know His plans are for our good. I've heard it said that fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. Understand that fear is a lie. Today, choose to believe God's Word and receive His love so that you can overcome fear and move forward into the good life He has prepared for you!
A Prayer For Today
Father in heaven, thank You for giving me power, love, and a sound mind. I open my heart to You and receive Your perfect love. Fill me with Your confidence and assurance to embrace everything You have for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Yeah I'm all caught up again! It took a good part of the day yesterday but it was such good word!
Now today was heavy reading it seemed. The peeps in the old testament married wives they ought not to and had to make it right... wow! that would be tough to put out your wife and children I would think?
Then in the new testament it talks about "right living"... you will have to read it for yourselves...
Then in the Psalms.... the writer is in distress it says and is petitioning the Lord for favor... at least he knew where to go! ~ha
But in the Proverbs it seems to say it for all the other readings...
"To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice"
Seems to say to me... just do it right in the first place Becky and you won't have to back up and correct your mistakes.... but then I thought oh how simply wonderful the grace of God is that we have a second chance when we do choose the wrong paths!
Even though there seems to be heaviness in the word some times there is always a redeeming power and hope in it!
