WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY
It was so hot yesterday morning , I got up before daylight and got my protein coffee in , went over to the rental to start. Was already so hot that I didn’t last too long until I started getting dizzy. Don’t know what that was all about but finally had to go back to the house. Don’t know why I cant stand the humidity any better than I did when I was fat....do any of you? I thought I might be able to handle the summers here better but I guess not. When it is just hot and humidity is low (which doesn’t happen very often huh ) but it doesn’t bother me . Last winter when we were in
We were hoping that we would be totally done with this house by this week end. Im so done with it. we would even sell if it someone wanted. Patience, patience, that is so hard to do isn’t it?
God grant me patience and I want it right now.....
Bec I too love pickeled beets. They are one of my favorites...I can eat an awfully lot of them....and who knew they were so good for a person lol ....they have lots of vits and minerals in them...
So where would your daughter be working at down here ? she wouldn’t drive back and forth from your house would she?
Stopping at the lake and going swimming sounds like so much fun....reminds me of a hot summer trip on a bike we owned few years back...it was so so hot and on a bike it can really get hot quick....we would ride awhile and see a little creek or river and get off and go sit in the water clothes and all., get cooled off go get bac on the bike and ride again till we were all dry and hot. And find something else...lol .
Not sure on the name of the zinnias that you are wanting there are so many different kinds but they are one of my favorite flowers this time of year. They don’t care how hot it gets they just keep on keeping on. Some of mine are the brightest of colors...i told Joe everyyear about this time I wish I had planted more of them lol . Your flowers sound pretty, have your daughter show you how to put them on Webshots.com then you can put the link on your signature line on here
Susan isn’t this weight loss surgery great? Have you lost any more or has it slowed down some for you? Are you all still walking every day? once you stop it is really hard to get that momentum going again isn’t it? but where you all are at is a nice smooth place to walk no hills , no foxes lol
Oh how I wish I had been up there with you for the pool .....that sounds so good. guess I need to find me a bathing suit somewhere that would look half way decent.
Collete what a nice sweet thing to do ....im sure whom ever you take a dinner to will be so happy not only for the dinner but for the time you spend bringing it to them and for thinking of them....God bless you sweet lady.
Jo I do that too with beets. I usually keep a jar of them in the fridg like that. I dearly love thos things. When I have a meal I have to make myself eat all of my protein first so I can then have as many of the pickled beets as I want . I can make a meal off of them alone. Lol
Yeah with the tape and paint...sure I get the paint all over the tape too. I have tried it with a small brush and it still gets everywhere. That takes practice or a very steady hand which I don’t have ...
Hope you got something sewed yesterday that was pretty.....
Lou im right there with your dad about this humidity. Hey if you do know someone get them to turn it down some ok?

Just a quick comment about arthritis, humidity and Arizona. I have arthritis really bad, (back hurts every nite - even thos I take aleve). When I worked in 2001 in Arizona for 6 months the weather and hardly any humidity. My bones did not hurt like here. it is a dry climate and that is what drs will tell people to move out there. My husband still wants to live there. Unfortunately, I know how much work it would be to do everything needed to get to that point. Loved it out there.
Have a great day! God Bless. Colette
Sleep problems are my biggest thing right now. I did lose another pound......yippee. The last week I've taken half a Trazaone and last night 1/4 of a pill. The pill is smaller than a baby aspirin so cutting into 4ths is difficult even with a pill cutter. I either have nightmares that make me scream and then I'm so embarassed although Max understands or wild dreams that are so out of character for me. The first few hours of the morning I feel so anxious. Yesterday I took half a Xanax to counteract the effects of the Trazadone. I'm not to take Xanax daily, only when I really, really need it. Tonight I'm taking Tylenol PM and hope I can sleep.
I made a curtain for the garage door yesterday. It faces the west so the curtain cuts down on the heat coming in and no one can see in. Don't want to work out there in the evening and have the window uncovered. I listened to a book on cassette since I don't have a
TV out there. Good book but not sure I really like being read to.
I can't stand the humidity fat or thinner. To me it's just miserable and I try to avoid it. Max mowed yesterday and I felt badly he was out there working and it was so hot. We have a small yard so doesn't take long.
I used to can Pickled Beets. While I was slicing them after they were cooked I would pop them in my mouth. Love those things.
I did make some pickles yesterdeay. Quick, easy recipe but not sure I will like them. I tasted a couple slices and not bad but still have the raw cucumber taste. Maybe after they sit a few days, they will taste more like sweet pickles. I used Splenda instead of sugar.
I'm going to make Zuchinni Bread for my son. He and Max are going to a ball game tomorrow night. He loves the breads I make so I always make him a goodie bag.
Looks like a 99 degree day.
