WHATS HAPPENING FOR SATURDAY
Painting, and more painting. ....having to tape off walls so I can paint the ceiling trim.. and Joe messed up the ceiling in the bedroom getting down this trim in there. They had 2 different kinds and they were even put up right ...so we took all that down and going to put all the same kind in there so it will look right. ....we are getting there. Seems like the trim work takes a long time , and you wouldn’t think so ....its a little tedious.
I told Joe that I was going to quit worrying about how or who is going to rent it....I WILL trust that God will take care of it. he knows what we need and he can provide the person.
Joe ask me why I was pushing so hard to get the rental complete I told him that God was sending us someone soon lol he laughed too.
I have a whole bunch of beets coming up....hey Bec do you hear that? Did you ever get your beet bed done? I just planted them in the garden last week and looks like they are all coming up...3 days later I planted spinach and turnips but I don’t see them yet...
I got okra off my plants today....half of it is burgundy pods and the the other part of the row is regular green....those should be pretty together lol ..
Picked 53 tomatoes today....i put 6 quart bags up in the freezer last night ...guess I will do that to these too, then later on they can even be used if we want to make some more salsa..at least they wont spoil this way....the great big yellow ones I want to eat tho yummy.
Andy and Susan what are you all doing tomorrow? I have gobs and gobs of banana peppers and I cant eat that many lol what can we do with them? Also we have a lot of green bell peppers. Oh yeah have some tabaso peppers that have turned red. ...the bread and butter pickles sound good. I opened on of the jars oh wow yummy....good jar of picles.
Wow Lou sounds like you have been a busy realtor...girl you should be rolling in the dough...you can throw some of it towared me if you want to. So glad that your dad is doing better. And he will fee] so much better when he gets that gall bladder out.....you sound like you miss your little girl ...we mothers are silly aren’t we???
Colette, yep it will always be, you know not long ago I heard a girl say well my doctor told me that after about a year I could go back to eating like I use to ....whoa!!!!! what doctor in his right mind would say something like that? And who of us that has Gastric bypass as our last ditch effort to get the Fat off would want to>???? Can you imagine to get it off after all of this and then start eating like we use to ....what in the world ....what we ate before is what made us Fat in the first place ....i never ate lots and lots of food just all the wrong kinds of food. So I don’t eat any of those things anymore. I have come really close to doing what you did, it is what we use to do isn’t it. just eat unconsciously , open a bag of chips and sit and eat the whole thing? , open a bag of cookies and the next thing you knew they were gone....that mentality is why I don’t even buy sugar free cookies. Is because I will do the same thing with them. And even tho there is no sugar there is lots of carbs that I don’t need. ....our minds are really hard to change , we have to be alert and vigilant even at 4 years as you are or 3 as I am....or almost 3....will be 3 on the 14...wow I cant believe it has been that long. 6 more days....
LOL I had to laugh when you said that I made you tired? Are you nuts? You do as much as me if not more lol ....i think im afraid to not take advantage of all that I can do now...Joe said yesterday , it is really nice to have you helping me work now....and I bet it is ,
So good to see you posting more again...i feel like a long lost sister has come home. lol love you...
Lori you have done a great job on losing your weight , i wasn’t so sure you would make it when you first started you had such buyers remorse and wanted to eat all the wrong things at first . lol I guess you found your groove and found out that you couldn’t eat that stuff anymore...you have done a really good job....im really glad that you are doing so well.
Well got to get this posted and get busy,,,now that it is light enough to see im going to get started taping off the walls in the rental house so I can get the ceiling trim painted. Hopefully I can get done with some of this stuff....im about sick of it. lol

It was nice and windy this morning as I walked but a bit too warm... I was drenched when I came in...
Oh Mimi I'm green with envy about the beets! I LOVE LOVE LOVE pickled beets!!! No we did not get my beet bed done this year... I guess I will try for next... will have to haul in some sand as the soil here is so dense.
I have been praying all week that the situation with your rental will be all taken care of in what ever way the Lord knows is best!
I was down in your fair part of the country yesterday for about 2 hours! I even walked at Wal~Mart! We left here at 4:00 a.m.... that made for a long long day. Wished I would of had time to see you, Andy and Susan but it was a really fast trip... Jo had another job interview down there and will have another one from the same place via the phone on Monday... so possibly she will be working in the area... not sure yet.
We stopped on our way home at Truman lake and took a dip....it was great...the girls and I are going to go down there soon and spend the day just floating! We have not done that all summer and it's going to be over here before long...
Crystal will be subbing for the Sedalia school system and possibly the Hughesville and Marshall systems too... not sure about those yet. She will start her doctorate classes this Fall or possibly the Spring semester.
Well my flag pole flower bed is coming along pretty nicely I planted red, white and a deep purple petunias in the two tiers the red and white are looking fantastic but the purple are not has hearty as the others... not sure why. My rose of sharon bushes are blooming even tho they are babies, the hibiscus is simply loaded with plate size blooms, my vinca are looking nice and my purple ornamental peppers have lots and lots on them... the zinnia's I planted did not do very good at all... but I saw some gorgeous ones yesterday in Branson... sure wish I could of gotten that kind they were the big blooms but the plants were only about a foot tall.... that's the kind I wanted ...Mimi do you have any idea what those are called?
Well I need to do house work today things have gotten messy around here again. Not much fun but like Collete says if I don't do it... it will still be there! ~ha
Have a good day all.... stay cool it's to be a hot one I think.
Bec
i got into size 14 peti pant's.elastic waist.they fit me nice but i can tell i will be in a smaller size soon.
i also tryed on a size medium tee shirt last night and it fit me.i dont ever remember wearing a medium.it is such a good feeling to be able to wear smaller clothe's that i never could before.
jan sound's like the rental house is coming along nice for you all.andy said to tell you banana pepper's can be pickled.he did some before and they turned out good for him.
beckey sound's like you had a full busy day.any time you are in town just give us a call.if we are home you are more than welcome to stop in.tell your daughter's we are praying for them to get the job they want.
colllette hope you are feeling better.that sure is a strange feeling when your blood sugar drop's.it has happened to andy and i both before.
everyone have a great day.have some thing's to do around here.andy and i want to go to the pool later on.we love you all.god bless.susan.
thanks for comments. You will be always special to me too and I still remember you at the first support meeting. You sure have come a long way!!!
Not much new here except some weeding and picking veggies this am. A little bit of cleaning and then off to grocery store - dont need a lot but some essentials. Want to cook a turkey, but we cant eat it alone. too much to freeze. so making a list of who I can take some dinners to on the day I make it( shut ins at home) that is a good way to share it and they especially enjoy it (especially the men- whose wives have died). have a great weekend.. I know the Lord will send the right person to rent your house. God bless - Colette
The AC is on in my "woman cave" so it will be cool when I go out to work. I watched some QVC fashion shows this morning and got lots of ideas for new things to make. I did order a faux leather jacket that was a good price to replace the 2X jacket I'm taking to consignment. Speaking of consignment, I had a lot of clothes at a shop and all sold so she told me yesterday I would be getting a check for $64. She called today and said sales are down at the shop so it will be a couple weeks before I get my money. Grrrrr.....I won't be taking anything back there. I have a few winter items that are 1X to take to a consignment shop.
Jan, if I lived close to you I would buy your beets. I just love them. I buy canned beets and pickle using Splenda. This afternhoon I'm going to make Refrigerator Pickles.
My son has a friend that is a professional painter and Greg has worked for him occasionally. He told me I didn't need to tape everything off, just use a small brush, can't remember what he called it. Well, I tried that brush and I still need to tape.
A doctor telling someone that had WLS they could eat like they used to after a year sounds like he/she needs more training. Before surgery, I was not a big eater, never binged, was always on some program to lose weight but I never could get more than 10 lbs. off. I would get discouraged and quit. I know I was eating way too many carbs and they weren't my friend. I cooked healthy most of the time but when I ate out I would splurge thinking is was a special occasion or it was just once a week. After I weighed in on Saturday morning at WWs at 7:30, I considered myself free all day. I never ate a candy bar during the week but Saturdays I would have Hershey big block. OMG....no wonder I was fat. I'm a year out and I eat very healthy and prefer healthy foods. I now eat to live instead of eat to live. Food isn't real important to me now.
I've got some errands to do and then I'll be free all afternoon for sewing.
