Isn’t God good?  Do you really believe that?  I sure hope so.  God and His goodness can be so strong in our lives if we only believe that simple truth.  God is always doing something good for us, we might think things aren’t going the way we think they should be going but if you take a step back and look, God is active in our lives with His goodness and mercy.  God is on our side wanting only the best for us and He knows what the best is more than we do.  That’s one lesson I have come to learn the hard way.  Sometimes we try and do the right things but yet we get ourselves ahead of God and He has to slow us down or even stop us in our tracks to get our attention so we can get on the right track.  Through all of that though, God is good, good to us in so many ways.  When we believe that and turn on our expectors we will His goodness all around us.  Expect something good to happen from God, be looking for it and you’ll be happy you did.  At prayer service last night the Pastor confirmed all that by reading Psalm 84:11 “For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
       the LORD bestows favor and honor;
       no good thing does he withhold
       from those whose walk is blameless."

His goodness is throughout the bible and can be throughout our lives if we only let it.  God is so good, ALL the time!

Exodus 3:14

"God replied to Moses, ‘I Am Who I Am…’"

In the Bible, God has many names that describe His character and attributes. In the same way that someone named “Joe" might also be called “father" or “husband" or “the boss," God has names that describe Him and His relationship to His people.

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew name for “God" was considered so holy that the people wouldn’t even say it. So, when God appeared to Moses in a burning bush and sent Him to lead the Israelites out of captivity, Moses asked God, “Who should I say sent me?" After all, He couldn’t breathe the name of God in public. God replied by saying, “Moses, my name is I Am." In other words, “I am anything and everything you need. I am your joy. I am your peace. I am your strength. I am your victory. I am your way of escape. I am whatever you need."

Today, God is saying the same thing to us! What is it that you need? The Great I Am, the Almighty God is on your side. He is ready to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Open your heart of faith to Him today and receive all the blessings He has in store for you!

A Prayer For Today: Father in heaven, today I call on You—the Great I Am. I surrender myself to You - spirit, soul, and body. I ask that You direct my steps and supply every one of my needs as I move forward in obedience to Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
