WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Well if it doesn’t rain this morning I will be painting baseboards and ceiling trim  shouldn’t take very long because it has all been primed so it wont take long to do it....

Joe said he is going to sand some of the  mud and tapeing in the laundry room  amd will get that all done before I come in the house so it wont be so hard on me to breath.

I put some signs up around Forsyth yesterday...hope I get a call from someone.

Hopefully we will find someone to rent to.

I went to see the doctor at the sleep clinic today....they want t check my O2 while im sleeping with the c-pap machine and then may have to increase the pressure and add O2. they said that it could possible ly explain the muscle cramps...i hope that is what it is..then she changed my stay awake pills to something else...i sure hope they work better. She also said it could be a Magnisium shortage. She said to just buy some over the counter and take  them....I told her that I wont be bringing the pulse ox back till we come back out on Wednesday....

Hey Susan saw a neat job for you in the paper....it is to drive the van at the nursing home that your dad is at....you would be taking  the patients to the doctors and other things. so I guess they aren’t planning on closing the home....but I didn’t see any job opening for nurses.....did we pass you and Andy  today?

Jo the cup cake sounds good , I wonder if you could put protein in there...that way you could have your cake and eat it too. lol.

Susie sounds like you had a really nice trip ....wanted to see where his truck was born??? Wow now I think I have heard it all lol.

Glad you enjoyed yourself , it wont be long till school starts again will it? are you going to teach again this year.

Isn’t it amazing , every time we are gone on vacation I think I have gained weight but have always lost. Lol I guess it just goes to show you that we have to have food...to lose.

Pooh I hope you are feeling better. Did you get your meds filled and get started on them? It will take a while for them to start working so hang on for awhile ok? And any time you feel like blowing up just come on here and vent away...cant hurt a sole doing that here. And as far as baby sitting until you have your self feeling better I really don’t think it is a good idea. That is something that is hard to do for a healthy person but when a person is as upset as you are I wouldn’t know about that. Doesn’t sound like a great idea.

Sounds like you hit the mother lode on the dump....lol that sounds like fun....

Claudette: great to have you hear and to talk to you. ....guess who I talked to today? Vesta she was  asking about you too.

Sounds like your hubby is slow on the walking but doing pretty good too.

Since you are a people person , you need to come on at might on here so that you can  come here and talk to us some.

Arent those peppers pretty. I have them planted several places along the edges of my flower beds and they put a lot of color that is for sure. Im glad the flowers  bloomed for you. Did you save seeds from them? Some of them will probably come back on their own for sure.

Sounds like you had a great time with your family and hope you get to do it again.

Suzy you are very active , wow when you lose the weight you will be flying lol . I do not know of anyone that is your size that can do all the things you said you do. but that is amazing....keep on girl and keep walking  cause that will help you get weight off very very fast after surgery.

Jo yeah the lack of money is a real kick in the head after you retire. It isn’t easy but you just have to learn to do without believe me we know.

It is so much fun to pick something up and think it wont fit but it does lol  I thought 10s really looked small for a long long time but they look big to me now. Now how crazy is that lol.. our minds are sure the biggest that  we have to fight . crazy.....

Sandy congradts on your surgerversary. Two years huh? Wish I had your problem about losing too much weight ....i have never gotten to Dr. Horbostels goal for me , but im perfectly happy to be where I am really...

Oh wow I love lime pickles...did you do them with splenda? I use to make lime pickles all the time and my kids loved them .

I would have been like you too about someone taking your stuff.  I have noticed that the raising a garden is sort of like the story of the little red hen. Lol have you noticed that?

Oh well I don’t mine sharing and I know you don’t either

Just want to share when you want and what.

Oh yummy on those black berry pies....Joe is suppose to go and see if he can pick blackberries up at this one guys big black berry patch. I ordered some thornless blackberrier plants and they died......will try again later this year. Lol

Will talk to you all again tomorrow.... hopefully I can get all the baseboards painted for Joe to get them all put down ...im tired of working on that house with not having any one looking at it .. we may call a realestate company  if we don’t rent it this week....Lou where are you girl...wish you could come way down here I think you are a little go getter about selling lol .

Hope Lous dad is doing ok. Since we didn’t hear from her today.......keep her in your prayers. ....

Barb you and the kids have a great time in Texas....when is it you leave  tomorrow? Let me know when you get a chance what you all are doing.

Bec where are you and what are you up to? What are your girls getting ready to do? are they going to be staying at home and working or what ?  hope things are going well.

Hope everyone has a really great day today and  let me know what is on your plate today....

Well its thunder booming out now and pouring down rain so I guess I won't be in the garden this am...

I cooked $50 worth of black berries for my sis last night with splenda.  They taste so good!!!  She is going to make the cobblers today.  She is more receptive now to using sugar free things than she was last year.  She needs to lose about 200 pounds but absolutely refuses to have wt loss surgery because of all the complications I had and she said she likes to eat to much to give it up...  At least now she doesn't complain about the ice tea I make with splenda.  If she wants it another way she can make it herself as I told her.  I keep a gallon container in the fridge at all times.  She brought in a 12 pack of coke last night and I got a little sad missing the enjoyment of having an ice cold carbonated coke...  I told myself to remember how it tasted last thanksgiving and how drinking a can is actually taking in a cup of sugar and how the carbonation expands your pouch - oh well - the memories!

Jan - sending rent me now vibes your way!!!

Have a great day!

Good morning.  I'm just exhausted.  Trying to be at the hospital in the am and also I have to work.   Its hard but its got to be done.  My dad is doing much much better.  Today he has an ERCP to look into his common bile duct and see if there is a stone.  Its a procedure in endoscopy.  I just pray everything goes perfect.  His heart is back to normal and his labs and all going back to where they should be.  He's still a tad bit jaundice but looking better everyday.  I can tell he feels better he's had me laughing all day yesterday.  I really appreciate the prayers and well wishes.  If all goes well today he can go home tomorrow and then he will have to go back in a week to get his gallbladder out.   I hope everyone has a great day.  ;) Lou

Lou, glad to hear your father is doing better.  Gallbladders can cause so many problems. My DH kept having problems and the doctor swore it wasn't gallbladder.  In his 35 years of doctoring he had never heard of such symptoms for GB.  A gastroenterologist did some tests and it was GB.  There was stone down in the bile duct.

Good morning to all! Hey sis, have you posted your rental on Craigslist? I guess you can do that on there can't ya? Just a thought!

Rick leaves the 6th for Canada and hes all hyped up about it...I sure hope they catch alot of fish. Please pray for their safe travels. 2 trucks each pulling a boat that far worries me.

I think I'm going to take Kenan and Levi (2 grandsons) on a road trip next week. We may leave Sunday afternoon and just drive until we see something we want to stop at...and do. I'm thinking of taking them to Elephant Rocks and Johnson's shut-ins over on the east side of the state. I know these 2 boys would love it. Anyway, they are due their summer trip with me so I guess we will do something.

Didnt hear about my new pee-test results yet...they sent these off to get a complete culture on since the Dr didnt like what he saw in the last results...I still have something going on but I am better.

Hey sis, Rowdy at GNC ordered in some of the plastic bottles of Isopure for me....he said he was at the convention in vegas and saw them and said "I'm getting some of them for Sugar" lol! He even got them in the grape flavor cause he knew that was my favorite...

Well, call me about tomorrow sis....

Lou I have seen some people who were the sickest I have ever seen bounce back after gall bladder surgery. I have a friend who spent almost a year in and out of the hospital in really bad shape and they finally took out his gallbladder. He was worried he was going to die. They took the gallbladder because they were out of options and today he is the picture of health. I guess the gallbladder can really mess with you. I know how sick I felt when mine messed up.I hope your dad gets better soon.

I got back into my routine of grass cutting yesterday. DH told me we need to sell our house because the yard is too much for him. I think we can just stop cutting it all.I tried to cut some spots I usually do not do and I got scared. The mower got away from me a bit. I was going down hill and the brakes would not slow it down. I do not plan to cut that area again. I do wish we had a more level yard but it is hard to find around here.

I tried the Flat D pads for gas issues and wasn't to happy with them. I have tried Devron and not sure how good they work. I eat yogurt almost everyday. I still get gas. I wish I could figure out how to stop it. Some days are worse than others but I don't want it all. Anyone got a miracle cure?

Looks like rain here today. Kinda need it so its ok. The garden could use the water. Anyone have a good recipe for acorn squash? WE got some out of our summer squash seeds. Never cared much for them so I don't know what to do with them. We thought they were watermelons at first. Wish they had been.

Have a great day everyone and I hope everyone is well  and all our families are doing well also.

Susie, do you drink milk?  I was having mil****asionally and had gas pains.  Tried Gas-X and didn't help.  I switched to lactose free milk and no more problems.

We had rain this morning right at rush hour.  Our humidity is back but we've had a great summer really.

Last night we moved my sewing room to the garage.  It will be so nice to have more room than in my little bedroom that also has the computer desk and an armoire and a TV.  I'm calling this my woman cave.  Can't wait to get started sewing out there.  I won't have a TV but do have a radio and CD player.  I'm going to get some books on CD and listen to them while I'm working out there.

Someone gave me the nicest compliment today.  She said "you look especially thin today.  Looks like you are continuing to lose."  I can live on that for a week.  This is a lady that desperately needs the surgery and wants it but her insurance doesn't cover it.  She is diabetic and probably needs to lose at least 200 lbs.  She is taking Alli and has lost about 25 lbs.  She can hardly get around.

For the first time ever or since I was a very young child, I feel normal.  I'm not thin but I no longer feel like people think of me as fat.  As a child people made remarks like the pretty face but she's so chunky.  Did they not know I knew they meant I was fat!!   I had a relative that criticized a sweater I just loved until she told me it wasn't something I should wear because the cowl neckline made my face look fat.

Poohbear, I hope you got your prescription problem settled.  Is it Susan that had her veggies taken?  That's really low that someone would do that.  I can understand you being so angry.

I need to get back to work.  Everyone have a great day!  .
