GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
We were there for a wedding, DH's nephew. It was a very nice wedding and we were fed wonderfully. I was so afraid I would come home and find I had gained weight but I didn't. I may have even lost half a pound.
I was amazed at how empty Detroit was. None of the roads were busy, lots of stores were empty and lots had closed. It wasn't a dirty city but you could tell it was depressed. The weather was beautiful the whole time. The only down was when we went to the casino and DH didn't win. I however played slots. I started with 12 bucks and cashed out 12.04 so I made a total of four cents. Just call me big spender. DH is usually lucky so I guess he was due a loss. He is a black Jack player but I am too cheap to play enough per bet to do the tables.
It is good to be back home even if it is for a short time. I am leaving Thursday for Atlanta for some girl time with my sister.Gotta do what I can before school starts.
I hope everyone is doing ok and has a wonderful day.
Good Morning Jan and All.
First off please let me apologize for acting like a spoiled 2 yr old throwing a temper tantrum.
Second thank you all *****sponded.
Gail is off to work ,Nikki still asleep,So far so good LOL.
Gail finally got 2 of the arches done for Christmas 1400 lights on each arch.THey are so cool.Next he is making 10 mini trees .They will be awesome also.
I took trash up to the city dumpster Sunday evening and i hit the jackpot in the dumpster .There was a 6 1/2 foot prelit christnas tree tosse in there still in the box and a 8 ft christmas palm tree. Both work WEEEEEEEEEE.Some of you are gonna think crazy woman digging stuff out of the trash,But I ove going through junk ditches and stuff,Ya can find some pretty cool stuff. And it was well worth dragging the tree and palm tree home since they both work.We looked on ebay and the palm tree sells for 189.00.I was tickled LOL.But as ya'll know it dosen't take alot to excite me LOL.
Nikki and I are taking the kittens to Kirksville this morning.A lady that lives on a farm wants them and we grew up with her so i know they willbe taken care of.Can't keep them or they will have the blowups all scratched up and full of holes.Pickles their momma is going to get a hysterectomy so no more babies.YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE,
Got a 35 gal fish tank with stand and everything to ser it up of of freecycle Sat. Looks really nice. and our fish love the extra swimming room.Gave our 10 gal tank to Colby our 2 yr old grandson. He was so excited.
I made 7 jars of bread and butter pickles fri i think it was, And have enough cucumbers so far probably have enough cucumbers to do 10 more jars .Then i quit.We don't eat alot of them . End up giving most away.Made 2 loaves of zuchinni bread and colbt loves it.He came over yesterday and said Nawnee can i have some more of your bread. He is so sweet and so polite for only being 2.
.

I was taking Celexa for several years but recently I have felt really anxious and really no reason to feel that way. I say my doctor Friday and she changed me to Zolof. For over a year I have taken Ambien but it gives me headaches. The doctor put me on Trazadone, half tablet at bedtime. Helps me sleep but tne nightmares are just awful.
Seems like the pharmacy should have told you generic was available. Maybe they wanted to make the extra money.

Yes, I am alive and well! Thanks Jan for asking. We ventured out on July 20th till 27th and went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a family reunion. Didnt know if we should but Made all the plans to go. Was the first time I have seen my brothers and sisters in 4 years. We all rented cabins and they came from La, Pa, Floriada, Ga. and Missouri. I planned ahead and had the medical company bring a lift chair to our cabin for a week. We had a wonderful and fantastic time. Plans are under way for 2 years to go to Destin, Florida. God willing we will go. I drove the entire trip and we broke it up into 2 days. You should see where our cabin was!! Right smack on top of a mountain. Getting to it was not fun with hilly, curvy and windy roads. But it was so nice when we got there. We actually saw live bears out where we grilled our supper at the picnic table in front of my brothers cabin. They warned us not to leave food around outside but it must have smelt the after effects.
Yes, I have a garden Jan. Nothing in comparison to a lot of you, but I have zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and peppers. All doing very well. also I think of you as a lot of the flowers you gave me bloomed. the ornamental peppers are hugh and plentiful with peppers..
Since I am home all the time, many adjustments have taken place. I am a people person and I miss the daily contact with people. I do however wander from hom to the grocery store and bank but try not to be gone longer than 1-2 hours. I always plan it so hubby is taken care of and sitting in chair. He can get up with the lift chair and his walking is shaky, but he manages to go to bathroom by self. He falls when I am here too, becuse he wont always call me.
Hope you all have a great week. Incidentally, this was the first time my family saw me since I lost 95 pounds so you should have heard them. My ego was flying high!!! ha-ha They even told me and its on video that I look like the younges sister of 4. (I am the oldest)
Have a great day. God Bless each and everyone of You!!!!! Colette
Poohbear I think it was you that mentioned you had a bad day yesterday. I am so sorry to hear that and I sure hope you have a better day today. I am glad you found out about the med that you can get cheaper and I would be very upset as well that they did not inform you about the generic.
Somebody mentioned that I seem very active for my size. I am told this quite often...my grandma who has battled weight for a long time tells me this all the time. She just can't get over that I can still get on the floor and sit and crawl around and then get back up. Everyone is shocked at how much walking I can do and that I can jog a couple laps around our backyard it is not real big but hey at over 400 lbs I don't think that is to bad. I still go to six flags all the time and there are still some rides I can ride and I love to ride and can't wait till I can fit into all of the rides. I am so thankful and feel so blessed that I am still able to get around. I see people my size all the time in stores and they are in wheelchairs or scooters to be able to get around. This makes me feel so blessed for myself and sad at the same time.
Wanted to say hi to everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Continue to have great weather. Sure enjoyed my 3 days off. I could surely enjoy retirement if I had sufficient income.
Tonight I hope to move my sewing stuff to the "new" garage room. The lighting is really better than in the bedroom I use now. My tables fold up and aren't heavy so they're easy to move. Moving all the fabric and quilting I have on a shelf will take a lot of time. With new found energy since WLS, I'm up for it. Can't believe what a difference dumping 70 lbs. has made.
I was folding clothes and picked up a pair of shorts. Wondered where they came from because they sure wouldn't fit me. They are mine, paid a dollar for them at the thrift store and fit really good. I altered a top yesterday taking in 2 1/2" on each side. I looked at it and was sure I had measured wrong because it looked way too small.

I made 7 quarts of bread & butter pickels. I think I want to do some more lime pickles with what I have left.
We came home yesterday and someone had taken almost all of the tomatos off the table on the porch which is for our use only... We tell everyone thay can have what they want from the table on the patio not on the porch...I was so mad Dad thought I was going to stroke out. They even took the zucchini and all my green peppers. The days of giving away stuff is just about over. He said just let it go - I don't want to. I had over 2 dozen romas I wanted to use for my salads etc and the plants in the garden are dying not counting the Heirloom tomatos from which I wanted the seeds as I paid $4 a plant for them. Can you tell I am a little hot about this? We have a big family birthday party in Kansas City this coming weekend and I had plans to take everyon a goody basket from the garden ~~~~~~~
Ok - venting is over...Got sent home from work at 11:25 today and am scheduled to be on call tomorrow. Hope to get my pies done tonight if sis brings the blackberries she promised me.
Have a great day!
Sandy
