I have a question. I go to see the Dr on monday and they are going to set me up with my surgeon and they said that there is a test they can do to see if you have been smoking and i have slipped up a couple of times and i am afraid that i am not going to get to have my surgery done...I hope that there is someone that can tell me if there is a test and what to expect if i fail it

yes there is a test and will depend on how much is in your blood if they agree to go ahead with your surgery. you should quit after anyway , yes yes i know a lot of people that do smoke after surgery but it causes problems and you have enough of those anyway so. bite the bullett and qbe uit. just lay them down and walk away from the nasty things........if you have a lot of the after affects in you blood im afraid that they will tell you to go home and keep trying...bless your heart...Be Strong....

I was refused a surgery date twice because i had not stopped smoking,Posha told me i was the one stopping my surgery. So i quit July 14th 08 and had surgery Aug 11th . They told me they would test the day of surgery to see if i had been smoking and if i was they would cancel my surgery. They did not test that day but they do alot of blood work before your surgery date ,and i am sure they test to see how much nicotine is in yur blood then.I really wanted the surgery so i stopped .Chantex works great if you need help quitting.Good luck its hard to do but you can do it.

Quiting smoking is a hard hard thing to do and anyone that does it deserves it certainly isnt easy....i quit 15 years ago , way before Chantex ....it is hard , but i do know that no one ever quits by cutting down slowly, not quits for ever...it is a very hard and nasty habit to have and a lot of people slip back into it so easy....it is sort of like our diets for the rest of our life...you have to decide that you are going to eat in a new and healthy way and that is it. same with the cigs. just decide that it is gone..no more. will  be praying for you sweeite YOU CAN DO IT.

well i was on Chantix and it was working great until my Dr would not fill my script again and i only took it for 2 months and it says that you need to take it for 3 to 4 months and that is when the cravings came back...I know that i am going to have Dr.De La Torre and i am so anxious to met with him but then again I am a nervouse Nelly..and also i am around alot of people that smoke and that dont help matters any so i am just going to pray that all go's well and there is not alot of nicotine in my blood..thank you for all your help
