Heard from my dr

Well it seems there was some miscommunication from my dr to his staff member. He wants me to come back in with all my info so he can sit down with me and we can talk. He does still want me to have surgery but he does not feel he is qualified to help much since he does not know much about it. He said he has only referred a handfull of patients and that was to somebody in Arkansas and that was all he had to do. He has listened to an internist at Barnes in st louis and he wants to refer me to this DR since he is suppose to be knowledgable in this field. So looks like I will be doing this is of right now. Hopefully this all works out. I just could not understand my dr doing this, he always been so nice and really helpful. Now to just get him to understand the ins part...LOL

I'm glad to hear your doctor is willing to talk with you and help you get your surgery.  You must have to have a referral.  My insurance allows me to choose any doctor from those that participate with them.  I don't have any out of network coverage but that's okay because they have great doctors to choose from.

Thanks, yes my dr needs to refer me. Ins can be so tricky....
