Oh what a joy it is to have the faith of Abraham and be counted as righteous.  In Romans it’s talking about having the faith of Abraham and being counted as righteous in God’s eyes.  Faith without works is dead but we can’t work for our righteousness, it’s a gift of God and oh what a gift that is when we accept it.   Then when we get down to Psalms we read how David is struggling and pouring out his heart to God, no matter how hard he is struggling he still trusts God and knows God will take care of him.  In Proverbs we see that lazy people might sleep good but are always left hungry and that keeping God’s commandments keeps our life on track but despising them leads straight to death, not much else you can say there it’s pretty simple.  Over all some good Word this morning.  The devotional was especially good and so true.  Seems lately I am like the paralyzed man, I’m so close to my miracle but can’t see anyway around the crowd.  This month has been a struggle but I know if I keep persistent and work my way to the “roof" the miracles waiting for me will be right there.  Now is not the time to give up, now is the time to press on even harder, no matter what your believing for or what you are going through, this is the time to pick it up, climb on that roof and grab your miracle.  I believe when God sees our determination and faith He will help us press on through to the miracle waiting for us no matter how big or small it is.  Whether it be getting those final pounds off or believing for a total restoration of a family member or close friend or maybe a financial miracle, don’t give up but rather get up and climb onto that roof and grab your miracle.

Mark 2:10b-12

";…He said to the paralytic, ‘I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.’ Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, ‘We never saw anything like this!’"

In Mark chapter two, the Bible talks about a man who was paralyzed. He heard that Jesus was in town teaching at another house and knew that He could heal him. The paralyzed man convinced four of his friends to carry him on his bed over to where Jesus was. When they arrived, the house was so packed that they couldn’t get in. Do you know what happened next? Instead of just giving up and going home, the man was so determined to get his miracle that he convinced his friends to climb up on the roof, cut a hole in it, and lower him down to where Jesus was!

Now this man understood that you are closest to your victory when you face the greatest opposition. A lot of people would have just given up. They would have seen the crowd and gone home—even though they were just a few feet away from their miracle. Don’t let that be you! What are you believing for? Don’t give up just because there is opposition. Don’t let others discourage you from seeing your miracle. Keep pressing through today because you are closer than you think to the victory God has in store for you!

Today's Prayer: "Heavenly Father, today I release all of my cares and anxieties on You. I trust that my breakthrough is coming. I choose to press in and stand strong. I believe Your Word, and I believe that You will reward me as I diligently seek after You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen."

Good Beautiful COOL Morning!

Oh how I love this cool weather! Gives a person new vigor! ~ha

This portion we read on the 13th but it has stuck with me since so I thought to write it and remind myself yet again the inspiration of it:

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

If you take that and dissect it and think of each portion there is so much instruction in it.

Then on Sunday the minister quoted a scripture that stuck with me and I purposed to come home and look it up only to find out it was the very scripture of the day I read it!  I love it when the Lord does that!

Proverbs 19:11  The discretion "good sense" of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression. KJV

NIV: A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook and offense.

How many times should I have overlooked an offense instead spent way to much valuable time stewing over it only to not have it help one bit in the end? Thankfully I am much better at that than I used to be... the minister said it was an "honor" to overlook and offense... that word stuck with me and it's what made me look into the verse more carefully.... good word and wise counsel!!!

Today's Proverb is ever so true as well:

Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless man goes hungry.  He who obeys instruction guards his life, but he who contemptuous of his ways will die.

I looked up the word contemptuous and this is what it said:

Contentious, disdainful, defiance, scornful, condescend, disdain, cynical, haughty...

Every day we are admonished to better ourselves... it has done me so much good to keep these good principles at the front of my mind this past year!  It is so comforting to know that the Lord has assured us over and over again that He is faithful! Over and over He shows us that He does require of us righteousness or "right living"... Lord grant that in my life and give me the the strength as I purpose to obey your commands!

Have a good and wonderful day!
