Greek Yogurt

Suzy and Jo and everyone,
YO Missouri!!!
I have only a second because I'm at work but I make fake Greek yogurt - love Fage but it is $$$. I take plain unflavored yogurt, put a coffee filter in a collander, set the collander in a bowl, dump the plain yogurt into the coffee filter, put in the frig overnight, be sure the bottom of the filter is high above the bottom of the bowl. In the AM you will have about 1/2 cup of watery stuff in the bowl and thick, custardy yogurt in the filter. Try it - what do you have to lose but time. Then I use unsweetened fruit preserves (love cherry) and Splenda to taste and it is nearly as good as Fage at a fraction of the cost. In fact I haven't had Fage in months because I just do this. I use the giant cartons of yogurt now and we have big coffee filters I get at work. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
One of you mentioned cheesecake and I think if you put some nutmeg or cinnamon in it or a bit of lemon yogurt you could fake cheesecake or key lime pie. Yum, I'm gonna try that now.
Hugs - I read but don't write much. But I pray for all of you every day. This board is such a blessing for everyone.

I'll try that. Fage is very expensive.
