whats the worst thing that you can say to a WLS person!!!

Ok so im coming out of my bedroom and getting ready to go to bingo right....well DS says to me "hey mom, you been eatting? So I say yes DS I have been eatting....(im soooo tired of people watching every thing that I eat!!! guess they just love me right!!!) So DS say's I can tell, Your face is looking plumper now!!!!!!
OK so for those of you that know what I have been going through, to make myself eat, Also know that, that's NOT the thing to say to someone that already strugles to eat on a daily basis....lol
Now I know that he didnt mean it in a bad way....BUT...Now Im catching myself questioning what I am eatting....lol
So I ask DD if my face looked "Plump" she just looked at me and said Im going to kick his but for saying that....lol
so anyway....now I have went and found a new site that say's my Healthy weight should be 110-115.....so dont you know that's what Im thinking I should be too....
Dang....now I got 5-10 more pounds to lose.....
Whats ya all think do you think that a female at 5'1 should weight.....Good golly this is going to drive me nuts!!!!

I think you should weigh what ever you and your doctor decided you should weigh.  According to the medical charts at 5'7 I should weigh 145lbs, if I weighed that you all would think I was sick.  My body looks good a little heavier.  My Doctor in Columbia said he wanted me to weight 160-170, which is perfect for me. I have been this weight in high school and I was thin and healthy looking.  Sometimes the charts aren't right for your body shape and size.  I think some people loose so much they start to look sickly and older.  Ya know what I mean.  Only you and your doctor can decide how much you should weigh.  Or if I'm happy with the way I look before I get there I'll stop.  Its hard to call but I know everyone can't weigh what the chart says for thier height, some people are small boned, med and large boned people.  Good luck with whatever you decide to do. ;) Lou

You are sooo right....I guess it was just the comment that DS made that made me whirlwind back to the ugly days....
Would I like to be smaller.....not really....maybe a few pounds like 1-2 but Im not going to sweat that right now.....thanks for the eye opener.....And just to let you know....Your doing great on your journey, keep it up and it wont be long girl before its all gone for good...

 Most of the charts are for people about 20 years old. You need to adjust it some for age. Not saying you are old at all but you do get to weigh more the older you are.  I have seen your picture and you do not need to keep losing. I am glad to hear you are eating I was worried about you. I hope you are feeling better. You have done wonderful on the weight and I want to feel that way too.

I do feel good....granted there are still (alot) of times that I still feel like the "fat" person. But the bottom line is that I feel a thousand times better than I did 7 months ago.
As for my weight....I too feel like if I lose anymore, then I would look unhealthy.....and with my age I sure dont need to look any older than I do....Bottom line to this is that I just need to get use to the new me and smaller me....watch what I eat and just live.....lol
You will get there....were all different! I just got lucky and a little screwed up in the head and lost mine really quick. You doing everything right...minus those damn "Pork skins"....lol Before you know it you will have lost those last few remaining pounds.....

I think Lou said it all....before i had Surgery my doctor said i should get down to 130 and i told him i doubted that i would ....even when i was young and healthy and very thin i didnt weigh that small of amount....I am always saying that i need to lose more weight and everyone say no you dont you are thin enough. and actually i feel good so i will stay where i am....quite aways away from my goal weight but feel good ....i dont think you need to weight no 110 or 115  that is way too small.....Cor i really think that you are thin enough....and i know i dont think of you as getting older but it is prover that as we do we dont need to weight what we did as a teenager.

My Dear Dear Cor,
  Please do not return to that ugly pit where you were. If you never gain another or lose another pound in your life, be happy for the new life you have.  Give God all the glory.  When I had my surgery 4 years plus, Dr. H  told me 160 was my goal.  I finally made it there last year and sat and sat there.  Now for some strange reason,then I hit 151.  I go between 151 and 153.   My personal goal is 140.  I mentioned this to my primary doc a month ago and he told me you look great, you feel good, and He recommends  people for this surgery because of my success.  He said"QUIT FRETTING ABOUT IT"    So I am  just doing like I always do,   trying to eat right and take vitamins and drink.  So you keep up  the good work  and eat and drink too.  God Bless, Colette
