Went to the orthodontist this morning. I do not feel like I have been hit with a bat today. I will tonight because he changed my elastics to a stronger one. I haven't put them in yet. Its up to me to make sure I wear them. I will be so happy to get these out of my mouth. If I had my time to go over I would have kept my money. I think about all the stuff I could do or buy with the money in my mouth. If I wind up with cavities  under these braces I will be livid. I sure hope it will be worth it. I keep hoping it won't be much longer . He said 18-24 months and I am at 17 months now.

Its so humid outside. WE didn't get rain this morning but its soggy out there. I am staying inside. I need to catch up on some sleep but I just can't seem to take a nap in the daytime unless  i am sick.
Hope its going well for all of you.

Rain and more rain.  It did cool off a little.

Yesterday I tracked my food on the daily plate.  My total was 1,093.  I don't know how I would have eaten more.  I did weigh out 2 oz. of roast beef and got almost all if it down.  I know I should eat all of the protein before anything else, but I want a taste of whatever else I have.  I ate almost 1/4 of a medium potato.  The dogs loved the rest of the potatoes.  I ate 4 baby carrots.

I really prefer sweet potatoes but DH loves potatoes so I will eat them once a while.

Lou, I had spaghetti squash pre WLS and just couldn't develop a liking for it but I should try again.  I made a cole slaw with it once and it was delicious.  I only had about 1/4 cup of shell pasta so not a lot of carbs, not like eating a cup of spaghetti. The very thought is painful.  It's been months since I tried spaghetti and it just didn't go down well.

I had fresh blackberries with Greek yogurt.  What a treat!  My dad used to pick blackberries.  He would wear his hat that looked like one you would see in the jungle, a long sleeved shirt and take plenty of water.  I would keep out a bowl of the berries before my mother put them in the freezer.  As a kid I topped them with sugar.  Oh so good!

Lots of work to get done in the next 2 hours so I better get busy.

I keep my sugar intake below 18-20gms and the brown sugar splenda blend works out great for me.  I have tried experimenting with differant things and that seems to work for me.  I have not tried stevia yet but will in the near future.

My zucchini is dying - don't know what is causing it.  Also the cucumbers are dying which are planted 1/2 the garden away from the squash.  Someone at work told me there was something in the soil that will cause it but it is so frustrating!

Picked my 1st ripe big tomato today!  Will eat it for dinner this evening with a little ranch dressing on it.

Just got back from our walk and Cassie is tired - she went right thru the gate to the back door and flopped down by the door with the look on her face was "no more - don't make me move".  I put a harness on her to walk her and it really helps .
Take care - Sandy
