WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Jo have you ever tried spaghetti squash?  My family loves it!  Its round like a canalope and you cute it in half and bake it.  Then you scrape the squash out and it comes out looking just like spaghetti.  I make regular sauce and and put it on the squash with a little cheese, YUMMY!  Its so weird to me how a veggie can look and taste just like pasta. ;)Lou

 Jan my summer squash isn't making squash just lots of blooms. Marylin told me to eat the blooms but I haven't tried them. DH has got some tomatoes and peppers but I do not eat those. Gardens have been weird for us here. Never know what to expect. Only one pot of the flower seeds you gave me has had a bloom. They are growing but no flowers. At least the elephant ears finally came up. They are small but at least growing. I am babying my mimosa. I love those tress and can't wait for it to get big.
Lou are we sharing protein samples at the meeting? I saw where you said you were getting some together. I am planning to come. I hope nothing comes up to stop me. I have it on my calender.
Got lots of rain and wind up here yesterday and today. I don't mind I am staying inside.

yes you can eat the blooms from squash , they are pretty good.  all the green veggies are my favorites. like brocolli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, crave that stuff,  yummy....and i love tomatoes and the main thing i crave at this point right now instead of any chocolate or stuff like that is fruit. any fruit, at the moment it is water mellon...oh my gosh i can eat a whole one by my self in about 3 days lol
i love them and tomatoes too. oh boy those things taste so so good.  ...especially the ones you raise yourself. i have some wonderful ones this year too.

dont know what to tell you about the seeds probably the weather we have had. ....i just threw mine out in the area where i wanted them and they all came up i think
keep watering your mimosa  daily and it will take off soon,.   my elephant ears are slow about coming up too but they are up finally i was wondering about them...dont know all i can tell you is that the weather has been weird. ...
