is very important that you get a routine going for your vits and stick with it....the more of a routine you get into with them the less hassel they are. it really is a necessity....
not something that you can do or not do ....

From everything that I have read, our bodys will only absorb up to 600 mgs at a time...thats why I spread them out through out the day... I may be wrong, but I will be definately checking on that....As far as the others go...I will be taking the b-100 all at one time...I dont take any iron right now till they find out whats going on with my feritin levels...which are still through the roof and they dont know why...in fact I have never taken any extra iron at all, so I have no clue as to why. I do take D-3 dry 3 times a day along with a K (no potasium--sp) just straight K, and a zinc....those were all at the bottom end of the levels so I just add them to 2 times a day...figured that it couldnt hurt right...

i know you had trouble getting in enough protein but looks like from your eating list you are eating well now....

Jan... here's what was posted...
Calcium --- No Way! Your body (actually, everyone's body) can only deal with about 500mg of calcium at a time. So spread your doses out at least 2 hours apart from each other. Also keep your calcium at least 2 hours away from iron doses or any vitamins (your multi?) that contains iron.
Too Much Calcium --- what happens if you don't spread out the doses? If you take your calcium all at once, studies have shown that the body kind of gets overwhelmed with all that calcium and doens't know what to do ... so it removes it from the body (in your urine). But it doesn't even bother to keep that first 500mg that it could normally deal with - it actually excretes the whole big dose and sometimes more of what your body had stored already. So take a dose of 2000mg at once and your body might actually dump about 2500mg of calcium.
B-100's --- seriously? You're taking 3 per day? That's a lot. The recommendation is ONE B-50 and some surgeons say two B-50's or one B-100. So three B-100's seems like a ton! (Be careful of the dreaded Niacin Flush.) However ... B Vitamins in general are a family of vitamins so take all your B's at the same time which means your multi-vitamin, B-100, biotin, B12, etc. However, since you're taking SO much B's, I'd probably split that up and do half in the morning and half at night.
All Other Vitamins -- in general, you can take most of your vitamins together. But usually people split it up into two main doses. Since we have to take two multi-vitamins, it's easy to split your supplements into two main doses for the day. Then just fill in the rest of the day with calcium and iron doses.
Schedule -- I couldn't remember to take any of my vitamins without a very specific schedule for when each dose needs to be taken. I have it listed on my profile if you want to take a look.
Breakfast- Coffee
Lunch- Nadda
Supper- meatloaf,baked beans,cabbage. What a combo lol.
Lots of fluids but still not enough.
I take 6 calcium citraits a day.630 mg for 2. Abby my nut told me to get in at least 1800 mg and that we can only absorb about 600 mg at a time and to take them 2 hrs apart. So i split mine up to 3xs a day at least 2 hrs apart.I also take a multi and b-complex with the 1st dose of calcium and another multi with the sec dose of calcium.I don't take extra iron right now will see how my labs look in Aug.I drink 2 scoops of click a day for protein.
Love and Hugs Deb
