Hello everyone. Sorry I have not posted in awhile. Can anyone help me with United Healthcare? That is the insurance I currently have and am wanting to know if anyone has any loop holes that I might be able to get it worked out to where they will ok me to have all my access removed. I have taken pics when I have broken out so bad and started to bleed from the overhang and also have it noted about the back pain that I have. My legs stay swelled due to the acess skin when I sit down it cuts the circulation off from my legs.
Any help would be great. I am now below 200!! I have not been below that since junior high. I am happy but just want to get rid of the excess. It will help with my other health issues I currently am having as well.

Hi,

I'm not sure about United Health paying for the tummy tuck.  However, my massage therapist did tell me her mil had gastric bypass and lost like 200 lbs.  She went to some hospital in NC where they treat burn victims.  She donated her "extra skin" for burn victims and the doctor/hospital did her tummy tuck for free.  I know in the KC are there's KU Medical Center that works with a lot of burn victims and seems like there's another hospital but can't remember.  I have no idea if they would do your tummy tuck in exchange for the extra skin for burn victims but it would be worth a try.  I'd call around and find a burn specialty hospital and get the a name of a good doctor and see what they tell you.  Might take awhile to get ahold of the right person.

Personally, I think it's a wonderful idea.  The extra skin would help many burn victims and the tummy tuck helps the person with the extra hanging skin that cause so many problems.

I wish you well!
