Daily Bible Reading - Monday June 29th
Lately we been reading about all kinds of miracles in the bible. In both the Old and New Testaments we see them. From where David killed goliath to where Paul and Silas were in prison and they were miraculously freed. Miracles are through the whole Bible and are also through out our whole lives. We may not see them or think miracles even exist but they do. Look at David, he was such a small guy compared to goliath, yet he knew he could conquer the giant and he did. God gave him the strength, courage and ability to do just that. There might be giants in your life that need to be conquered, God is no respecter of persons, he’ll do it for you just like he did it for David and just like he did for Paul and Silas and all the other miracles He did in the bible. We used to have to have this little saying on our fridge, “Something Good is going to happen to you today". When we expect a miracle to happen in our life, its gonna happen, maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but its gonna happen, you can count on it.
Today’s Reading

Daily Devotional
Not long ago, I heard a story about a woman who had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was married with two children and was very afraid. She was doing her best to stay positive and hopeful, but it was very difficult. The doctors gave her a 15% chance of surviving. She continued to pray and believe God, and she had good friends and family supporting her.
One day, a friend gave her a small, gray rock that had the words, "Expect a Miracle" written on it. When she received that rock, something leaped on the inside of her. As she looked at it, she could feel her faith being ignited. She knew right at that moment that the message was directly for her. She believed she was going to get well.
From that day forward, the woman carried that simple, little rock with her everywhere she went. All through the day she had it in her pocket or in her purse, and at night she would put it on her beside table.
The rock itself wasn´t anything special, but it served as a reminder that God was working behind the scenes to restore her health. It helped her to keep her faith focused on God and His miracle–working power in her life.
Over time, the woman went through chemotherapy and several major surgeries. After months of fighting the good fight of faith, it was time to determine if the treatment had helped. The doctors were going to biopsy her in 100 different places in her body where they thought the cancer could have spread. They already told her not to get her hopes up since there was little to no chance that she would be completely cancer free, but she went into surgery with an attitude of faith and her little rock right by her side. When she woke up, she saw a beautiful older woman dressed in a very bright, white dress standing next to her bed. She assumed the older woman was a nurse. The older woman said in a very kind voice, "Are you the lady who´s expecting a miracle?"
A bit groggy from the surgery, the woman thought, "How does this lady know anything about me?" She said, "Yes, I am." The older woman handed her a small plaque that said, "Miracles Happen Every Day."
When the woman received the plaque, she felt God´s presence like never before. She felt warmness and a tingling flowing throughout her body. The next thing she remembered was waking up and seeing her husband standing over her with a big smile. He said, "Honey, the results are in. The doctors did not find any cancer in your body."
That woman never found out who the older woman in the bright, white dress was, but she still has the plaque on her wall at home, "Miracles Happen Every Day."
I encourage you today, no matter what you may be facing, no matter what anyone else says; choose to believe what God says. Expect a miracle. Let your actions show that your faith is in God because with God all things are possible. Miracles happen every day!
This past week as I have been reading right along with you I have gotten on and your writings have mirrored my thoughts in so may ways.
I have especially enjoyed the Psalms... some of the words are so sweet, tender and precious!
Oh so many of the kings did evil in the sight of the Lord and He was sorely displeased.... and the some that did follow the proper paths but they didn't set the "high places" to rights??? Wonder why they didn't? What was the "high place"??? Just thinking to my self I guess. Since several of the kings did that and it was over the span of many years... I wonder what there was about it that the kings did not want to set that to rights?
It is always interesting to read of the early church in the new testament...
I loved it today when the Proverbs said the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook! Takes me back to all the water we seen on vacation and how simply wonderful it all was... very much a wonderful presence!
Thank you Andy for being here each day and inspiring me with your words. Do you realize that tomorrow we are half way??? Boy oh boy the time has went by so very fast!!!
Blessings to you!

I know what you mean about those kings, some were so evil it was unreal, makes you look at some of the countries today that have kings or rulers, things havnt changed much have they?
I so cant believe its been 6 months since we started this, boy how time has flown by, God has sure spoken some powerful words to us, I can look back and see changes in us all, what an amazing time.
Just so you know, after Wed. I prolly wont have internet for about a week. I found someone to take over our satelite internet and I think they are having it hooked up at the end of this week so I have to give them the equipment. Our internet will be hooked up at the new place on Thursday the 9th. I thought since everyone is pretty busy I would post the link to where I get the daily scriptures from and everyone can read what scriptures are for the day. The devotionals come to my email so I can post the weeks worth when we get the internet. Im gonna try and take the laptop to McDonalds a couple times to check emails, they are suppose to have wifi, if they do i'll post the devotionals, after Thursday July 9th things will get back to normal.
Hope you all arent staying to busy, we're enjoying the coolness of today, its not as hot here as it has been.
Y'all take care, thanks again for your words of wisdom, ya dont know how i've been really blessed by them.
Bless ya,
Andy
