Psalms was really touching today and spoke to me tremendously.  It starts off with…  1 Praise the Lord, who is my rock.
He trains my hands for war
and gives my fingers skill for battle.
2 He is my loving ally and my fortress,
my tower of safety, my rescuer.
He is my shield, and I take refuge in him.

When things look dim, when you feel like your caught in a trap or you don’t know what to do or where to go, you can read the first few verses of today’s Psalms and know what to do.  “He is my rock, He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle."  If we seek Him, we will find all we need to win the battle.  When you feel uneasy or maybe scared of what lies ahead, “He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer.  He is my shield and I take refuge in Him."  Right there gives us safety, we can run to Him and He will shield us, He is our tower of safety and he will rescue us from whatever it is we are caught up in.  This last day or so I’ve been scared or uneasy about what He is doing in my life but when I take refuge in Him, He gives me comfort and strength to carry on what HE has for me.  Sometimes when we go into “new territory" it’s like your being blinded and you don’t know where your going but if we trust in Him, He will never fail us, wow. Thank you Lord.  If we do what the devotional says, “call upon His name" and trust in Him and lean on Him, He will ALWAYS meet our needs in ways that we could never imagine, He’s just waiting on us to ask expectantly.

Daily Devotional

Psalm 26:1

"[A Psalm] of David. Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have [expectantly] trusted in, leaned on, and relied on the Lord without wavering and I shall not slide".

Did you know that God loves to hear you call upon His name? He has ways to meet your needs that you´ve never imagined, and He´s just waiting for you to ask expectantly. Are you expecting God to act on your behalf today?

So many people pray with an attitude as if they are trying to hit a dartboard blindfolded! They know the target is there, they have an idea of the general direction; they just hope they´ll just get somewhere close. But understand, when you get into God´s Word and declare His promises over your life, it´s like taking the blindfold off and walking straight up to the bull´s eye! When you pray with expectancy according to God´s Word, you´ll hit the target every single time.

What are your needs today? Find the promise in God´s Word that addresses those needs. Then, expect God to act! He is faithful to His Word, and He´s just waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf.

Today's thought: "Heavenly Father, today I come to You with an attitude of faith and expectancy. I know that You have good plans for me, and I choose to come into agreement with Your Word. Thank You for hearing my prayers as I wait patiently for You. In Jesus´ Name. Amen."
