No one can pee on my parade now!

I saw Dr. Price at the office yesterday for the first time...he was great, answered my questions and agreed that gastric bypass is really the only way to go for me since I have diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, amongst other problems. 

I go back on July 14th for my diet, exercise and psych evals and between now and then, I have to gather a bit of paperwork from my family doctor. My insurance doesn't require any supervised diet or anything so they said that hopefully we will have a surgery date in September/October!!  WOO HOO!!

I was so excited that I could hardly sleep last night! 

Thanks for all the support on the board..I'm sure I'm going to need a lot more in the months to come. I am enjoying reading posts and hope to get to know you all better! 

YAY!  It's so exciting!  It seems like yesterday I was going threw all of this same stuff.  It took me 7 months from seminar to surgery.  I remember calling everyday to see if there was a canceled appointment so I could get in earlier. ;)  Everything I went threw has been totally worth it all.  I can't even begin to express the gratitude I have for this life changing surgery.  It makes me tear up when I think about how much my life has changed for the better not only for myself but for my whole family.  It won't be long and you will be in the same spot.  Enjoy every minute of this amazing journey.  ;) Lou

Cassy so very happy for you and we are always here for any support you might need.  it is the best thing i have ever done for myself that is for sure.   I have a life now , where before i was house bound more or less...it is a miracle for sure. we are all pulling for you to get an early surgery date.
