jo how are you doing today?jan is right about thoses protien bar's from atkin's.they do taste great.i can get them down pretty good.we get them at walmart.

lou sure was good to see you and your mom at the group last night.you are looking great.you will do good doing the meeting next month.

susie how is your hubby's back doing today?better we hope.is the grass still laughing at you?lol.

lol short meeting at wal-mart but a good one .....speaking of meetings we had a good turnout last night with 4 new people ....3 of which were refered by Cox.  Thanks Cox. 
They are saying there is a heat warning from noon today thru Wed evening. so anything anyone needs to do outside they need to do early in the mornings. .....got to go and get some things done in the garden....see you all later.

Good Lordy Miss Mollie it is HOT out there.10:45 a.m. and it is 95 with heat index of 110 already.Sunday night we had 100 mph straight line winds go through here and it took out about 50 power poles and lines .So elec went off around 3;30 a.m. and wasn't back on till about 5 p.m. The whole town was out.Shee**** was misreable.But thank goodness we have lots of shade trees.And a pool LOL.

I wanna ask you ask ya'll to please pray for my mom.Last month dr's found a mass on her right lung. She went and they did a biopsy and it came back positive.She has lung cancer. I called her yesterday and she had been at the dr and they was doing a echo of her heart and neck.To see if her heart can withstand surgery.She also has to have stents put in her heart.They said yesterday she has fluid around her heart. PLus the mass on her lung has doubled in size in a months time.She sounds so calm about it all but i am freaking out.We don't have a close relationship but i do not want her to die and especially this way.So if ya'll would please say a prayer for her.

My garden is a mess.Full of weeds and to darn hot to do anything with it.Plus it is muddy.Was gonna spray weed killer on the weeds and grass in it but afraid i'd kill everything in it lol.So guess it will just be full of weeds.
I was hoping the zuchinni would grow ,well it is growing beautiful plants. If the weeds don't get it.Anyways i am wanting to make zuchinniu bread.Can't eat it but sure do make the house smell good while its baking LOL.

Green beans are full of blooms so hopefully i will get some beans too.YUMMY.

Poor Gail had to work today.He was off all last week but now it is so hot out and they decide to have him work.I think he has air conditioning on his backhoe. Sure hope he does.He dosen't do to well in heat.He had a really bad heat stroke in 91 when he was working in Maryville. And then his bypass in 07.So it makes me really nervous when he has to be out in the heat.Plus the man dosen't stay hydrated either. Makes me just wanna whack him upside his stubborn head LOL.

Jan what do you put on your tomatoes to stop blossem end rot? Mine aren't doing it yet but they did last year.So hoping i can do something to keep them from it this yr.My grape tomato plant is just loaded can't wait till they are ripe.

I made some s/f cool whip,s/f strawberry jello, and cottage cheese with cut up strawberries in it the other day.OH MY was it wonderful.But noone would eat it but me LOL.
Bought some corn on the cob from walmart the other day. Not sure if we are suppose to eat it but i did anyways.And i was in heaven. It was so yummy.Usually the corn on the cob i get at walmart is tough but this was so tender and good.

We are haveing a big 4th of July fish fry with fireworks afterwards.If any of you would like to come you are more than welcome.We would love to have you.We have one every year it is fun.We cook up a bunch of the spoonbill it is yummy fish.No bones at all.Plus we cook catfish and other fish.Jas and I been wanting to go catfishing but it is just to hot. But we will get some from Chillicothe Piggly wiggly.It taste pretty good and it is already cleaned LOL.I love catching fish just hate cleaning them LOL.

Pooh i get the spray to stop Blossom end rot from     www.gardensalive.com and it is called Enz Rot.    you can use it on your cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, mellons and peppers ....i think just about anything that has an above ground crop that has problems with bad spots on them ....you apply it about every 7 days....1/4 cup mixed with a gallon of water.  it goes a long ways.....


PS. NO WE ARENT SUPPOSE TO EAT CORN: only because it is so starchy which all turns to sugar... i have eaten it and it does taste good once in a while but too much is like any thing too much....

What a great meeting last night and a good turn out of newbies! I love to see that.

Im so excited for Tressa to get started on her new life. It is good that you have a friend in Corey and that you work together. Maybe you can keep each other on the straight and narrow.  Tressa I will try to sit down tonight and email you the list of vit. and how I take them. It isnt as overwhelming as it seems. BUT you must take them.

Lou, you will do great and try to have a good time with the meetings. You are a great people person so it will be fine!

Sugar so sorry about not giveing you the money last night to help buy the Spanish New Testaments....am mailing it tomorrow in the a. m.     meant to today and had it ready to go and didnt get it in the mail in time.....have you learned the verse in Spanish yet? 

Good afternoon everyone!  I'm trying not to fry today.  It was awesome to see my dad yesterday and agian today.  He's leaving in the am but will back in July for a month. ;)  He was really suprised when he saw me.  He kept saying you look so different.  His wife said today that she just can't believe it either.  I said that's ok I can't either. lol  Its a miracle. ;)  I really enjoyed the meeting last night. Everyone looks great! Its great that we have new people.  I'm nervous about taking over the meetings for awhile but I think it will be fun, for a few months anyway.  I'm sure Jan needs a break, its alot of work.  I finally got my contract back from the bank I've been waiting on for a week now. YAY!  Its the best news I've had in a couple of weeks.  I'm going to be showing some more houses this weekend to a couple that are first time home buyers.  They are fun. I hope we can find them something this weekend.  Well I have floor duty this afternoon and then I have to take Jade to the mall to get some shoes she's wanting, then back over to my grandpa's and grandma's to see my dad agian before he takes off, then I have to meet some people to sign some paper work.  WOW I'm tired even typing it lol.  Hope everyone stays cool! Oh my, this weather is just awful.  Last night someone came to pick up some furniture I was selling and by the time they got loaded I was perspiring and I never perspire plus I didn't do a thing but take the money.

I've tried the Atkins bars and liked some of them.  Yesterday I did great keeping my carbs under control.  Once I figured net carbs I only had 15 carbs for the day.  Today is going well too.  Sure hope I can drop some more pounds before July 9th when i see my doctor.

PoohBear, I eat corn and have had no problem except last Saturday when I actually ate a whole ear.  I should stick with half an ear.  I was pretty miserable for a few hours.  Green Beans used to be a favorite veggie but they don't taste the same now.  I need to cook some fresh ones. 

Lou, looks like real estate sales are picking up.  That's great!!  I know what you mean about can't believe the weight loss.  I see myself in a mirror and hardly recognize me.  Today I'm wearing an outfit I made and at the time it was too tight.  Now I need to take it apart and alter.  I don't mind alterations where I'm making it smaller.

I better get busy.  Duty calls.

Gee Willikers!!!!  I stepped out the door at 4:45 this morning and it was just a pure sauna out there!  I was dripping wet by the time I got back from my walk.  The very worst day yet!  What ever in the world will I do for ALL of July and August??? I might just have to wear the rut in the carpet!  Paul is always fussing at me when I walk inside that I'm going to wear a path. ~tee hee

Well things are finally getting back to a normal state around here after all that travels in May, we had such a good time on vacation but it is really good to slow back down too.

Someone recently posted what was different now? (after WLS)  What was ever so different for me was that I can get around so easily now compared to before and I still have 50 t0 60 lbs to go!  I climbed those ROCK trails and didn't even consider that I couldn't do it!  Before I would have said ANYONE was plumb crazy to do such a silly thing!  Bad me! On one particular trail we did when you got further up the mountain the only way you could tell where the trail was was to look for the next pile of rocks and climb over them to get to the next one!  IT WAS GREAT!!! It took us 4 hours to the top of that trail.  But was it ever so worth what you seen when you got there!!!  Such grandeur!!!

My poor Paul is working in this terrible heat too.  I just feel so very sorry for him! and he is having to do clear liquids today as well as he will have a colonoscopy in the morning.  I always get a bit nervous when they do those hoping and praying that they do not find anything.  He has had ulcertive colitis for many years now.

Sus ~ you and Andy be careful out there walking... be sure and drink lots and lots of liquids...

Mimi ~ is there any other place to have a meeting but wal~mart?  ~tee hee  Say my bee balm is blooming so beautifully!  It grew so tall it is falling over!

Colette ~ doll it is good to see you  posting a bit!  You will have to give us an update on how things are going around your life.

Pooh ~ I'm so sorry about your mom! I will sure add her to my prayer list.  It's good seeing you post too you doll you!  How fun it would be to come to your fish fry! I hope you all have a wonderful time and the weather is NOT like it is today... egads.  About the only thing in my garden this year is tomatoes and potatoes.  I just did not have the time to work it like I should of.  It's all I seem to be able to do to keep around the house done and AJ has helped me with that even.

Sugar ~ Sounds like you all had a good meeting last night.  I'm sure glad to hear that new ones are coming...

You leave on your trip pretty soon don't you?  I hope you are able to accomplish ever so much for your cause!

Lou ~ You sound busy as ever and know you will do wonderful with the meetings.

Jo ~ It always neat to hear that people still sew for themselves. I have a huge project waiting for me... I am going to make roman shades for my whole house.  I have all the stuff ready and waiting.  I sent my machine off last fall to get it all cleaned and adjusted and got it back home used it ONE time and the tension is off again.  Do you know anyone good that can set it?  I would really like to get it taken care of so I can get started on this project.  I also have a lot of sewing to do for my bedroom.  I have a Singer Sew Fro it is about 25 years old but a real good one.  The man that cleaned it told me not to ever get rid of it because they just don't make them like that anymore... but it's no good to me if the tension is off.  Any advise you have would sure be appreciated.

Janet if you are reading this I know I should be ever so ashamed of myself for not writing you and will do so soon. Renee hope all is going well with you and your family.
