Daily Bible Reading - Monday June 22nd
Isn’t it amazing how Elisha performed the miracles for the widow woman and the woman from Shunem? The widow woman was in desperate need of finances or her and her sons would be sold into slavery but God intervened through Elisha and turned one flask of olive oil into many many jars, it must have been more then enough to cover her debts and then some. Elisha really wanted to do something for the woman at Shunem because she has built a room on her roof just for when Elisha came through, she didn’t have any children and evidently wanted some, now that’s a miracle isn’t it? Giving her a son when her husband was an old man. Reminds you of Abraham. I just love reading about miracles. The New Testament was no different this morning, with Paul and Barnabas preaching and teaching and performing miracles in the name of the Lord. Of course Psalms always has encouraging words along with Proverbs. The devotional sure makes me take a look at where my faith is at today, it’s not as deep as it needs to be that’s for sure.

Hebrews 11:6
"But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]."
Do you ever feel like you are inconveniencing God? Are you content to just barely get by in life, to just endure it? Some people think they are being humble by not asking God for things, but Jesus paid a precious price to give us abundant life! He loves to hear us call upon His name!
I encourage you today to be bold and dare to believe God. Don´t just think "survival" when God is thinking "abundance." If you will think bigger, you´ll see God act bigger in your life. When you release your faith in a big way, God doesn´t say, "Who do they think they are? The nerve of that person." No, when you stretch your faith, it brings a smile to God´s face. He probably says to the angels, "Listen to what they´re saying. They believe I can do great things. They believe I can turn any situation around. They´ve got their trust and confidence in Me, so I´m not going to disappoint them!"
The Scripture says "our faith pleases God." So take a step of faith today and dare to believe that God will do the impossible in your life!
Today's thought: Father in heaven, today I come boldly to Your throne of grace. I believe that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You. I thank You for working in my heart and fulfilling my deepest desires. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.!
