WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

I may have to start doing the post again since I quit I have been working myself to  death...Ive worked in the garden, pulling weeds , hoeing weeds , and poisioning weeds l

To day I have the soaker hoses going on several things. I sprayed all the tomatoes, melons, cucumbers, squash and beans yesterday....with a anti blossom end rot stuff. Did you know they say that if you are having that problem it is because you don’t have enough calcium in your soil.....

Have planted several little planters full of vincas and some with impatients and some with petunias.....Have a lot of annuals up and blooming right now...the back yard looks like an old fashioned crazy quilt ...beautiful.

I have some really pretty areas of certain plants....like one bed I have white zinnias and purple balsam planted together. It is really eye catching.....have one bed that is pink and yellow ......and several that are Purple and white and pink....love that combination....tried a new one this year too .....they really haven’t all started blooming yet this year but will let you know if I like the color combination. It is yellow and orange marigolds with pink balsum  it sounds exciting.

Found a small good ref. for the guest house....had some small ugly spots on the front of it so we  have painted it red to go with the red stove.  WOW!!!!! You ought to see that kitchen.....It is so bright and happy looking. Neat!!! You all will have to come down and see it. call and I will fit you in on any week end you want.

I called Michele this morning and she was getting ready to go to church...I am so very thankful that God is working in her life. She sounds so happy any time I call her....she is getting her thoughts off her and onto what God wants her to do. Amen....

Sounds like the ones of you that are posting are all doing ok , just remember to drink lots of water during this hot humid days and stay as cool as you can...
We can get dehydrated very very easy....if you have to put some flavoring with the water do so because you have to have it as much as you can ...I really drink more than is necessary I guess but I am outside a lot .....

Well kiddos will see you again soon....got to go get busy and get some more things done...am going to try and see if I can make an awning for my swing.....dont know how or what ...will let you all know how my brainstorming goes.

Have several more flower beds that need watering and weeding....one pond needs cleaning yet .

Happy Fathers Day  guys.... Sure wish I had my Dad yet.

I planted all my seeds I got  from you Jan ,some in planters and some in the ground. None in the ground came up and the planters are growing good. Maybe the seeds washed away,  I do not have any blooms yet but lots of green. It just didn't warm up enough up here I guess because they are growing slow I can't wait to see the colors, The squash and cantaloupe took four and a half weeks to come up but finally did.
None of my elephant ears came up. We had an armadillo  digging in the area so he may have eaten them. I didn't plant them till spring but we did have some cold weather. One of the mimosa seedling survived and has leaves. I think it will make it. The ground is so rocky and pitiful here. We have brought in top soil and fertilizer three years in a row. It seems all we have are weeds.

Dh threw his back out today and can hardly move. He does this every so often. I don't know why he doesn't make the doctor fix him. He just suffers.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying Fathers Day.

Jan, good to see you posting.  I think I'm really active and energeti****il I read what you're doing and you make me look lazy!!

I did nursery duty this morning.  Only one little one but he was so cute and very, very good.  The other attendant was a young college student majoring in dietetics and looking to working with people with eating disorder and obesity.  I told her about my journet the last year and she was fasinated with all that has gone on.

I guess I'm going to have to start keeping track of what I eat and get to exercising regularly if I want to take off the last 30 lbs.  I know I get my protein in every day but some other areas need to be checked.....like carbs.  I'm going to aim for 100 or less carbs a day.  BE insists on 25/day if you are  still losing and 50 if you are at goal but that seems extreme to me.  I'm not eating junk carbs but I like oatmeal and other cereals and fruit.

I have always heard that too much protein can cause kidney damage so is it the same with those of us that have had WLS?  Some baord I was reading had someone promoting Atkins but Atkins also allowed enormous amounts of fat.

Hi sis and all, so did the little refrigerator make it and keep running? Im glad you painted it red! How cool is that?

I sold $105 worth of wedding stuff today and have sold some before so that is adding up. Im going to look for one of those heater air/conditioner combos to put in my little room out there. Hope I make part of what I need to buy one. Does anyone have one?

Im up to 135 Spanish Bibles to take along to Costa Rica. My goal is to be able to collect enough to take at least 150-200 and to learn to say John 3:16 in Spanish. Im getting sooooo excited!

Well, I cant stay on, alot of stuff to do this afternoon. Love ya all!

So glad to hear you again Jan. It just isn't right when you don't post first thing in the morning. Now the world feels right.....LOL

Been busy with the BIL with the quadruple bypass. He went home today, he is just doing great. I knew our prayer warriors would work wonders. I love you all!!

We are getting ready to go to Truman Lake for a week, we leave on Friday. Going with a bunch of Hubbies Sisters and their familes. I love camping and visiting with them all. Lots of fun and laughter.

Need to start supper. Great to hear about your day.
