To hot to weed today. I am staying inside. Humidity and I do not get along very well. I can take the heat a little better now without the extra insulation but above 85 I still do not like it.
The bugs are plentiful up here and have enjoyed taking bites of me when I am out weeding.
Stay cool yall.

Just popping in to say hello - taking a break from outside.  garden sure needs weeding.  Have you eaten from your garden yet Susan.
We have had so much rain and with the 85 miles per hour winds we had earlier, (Tues nite) I had a mess to clean by myself.  branches to drag, limbs to pick up, lawn chairs blew 1/2 mile in corn fields, lost 3 feeders, had mud and leaves on front of house so had to clean, plant all took a beating, and ingeneral I had a mess.  Very tired after that.  Finally after it got dry enough I ventured out to retrieve things.  Found 8 dead birds and 3 nests down also so you know the winds are strong.  I still marvel at the artistic way birds make nests and the heaviness of mud and grass and straw.  Now I know where some of my garden straw went. At the present moment  weare having drops of rain again.
Want to say how great you and Andy look Susan.  So happy for you
And Suzie, where is Dixon?  Have a nice weekend.  God Bless, Colette

The air is so thick you could cut it with a knife and it's raining again.  We had our deck power washed and DH was going to stain today but too wet.

I always watch QVC's fashion show on Saturday morning.  This morning there was a really cute dress for about $45 with shipping.  I was tempted but decided to think about it.  In the meantime I went to Jo Ann's where they were having 60% off a lot of fabric.  I bought enough for 3 dresses, thread and zippers for about $50.  I'm so excited to be sewing for me again.  Between my thrift store shopping and my sewing I will have a great wardrobe and not spend a lot.

Susan, I take it your DH had WLS too.  How is he doing with his weight loss?  I did notice something yesterday that I've not had before.  I rarely eat bread but I went to Subway and got a child's meal.  The bread is about 1/4 of a footlong.  I ate the sandwich and some baked chips with no problem,  An hour or so later I was starving.  I read on another board that carbs can make you crave more carbs.

I have sluffed off on exercise the past few weeks.  I need to get motivated to get back to the gym.

You people that work outside, don't overdo.  If I didn't have DH to do the yard, I would have to move to an apartment or hire some help.  There's no way I could keep it up.  Fortunately, he enjoys working outside.
