I followed my liquid diet exactly. Not one bite,no cheating at all. It was hard but it payed off. I lost 15 pounds and the doctor said my liver showed it. Those two weeks have been the hardest part of my weight loss journey. Once I got past that it was much easier. Use all your strength now and it will get easier. You can do this.

Hi, I had Dr. De la Torre as well....AWESOME DR! I had my surgery 1 year ago on the very same day you'll be having yours--July 7!   I lost around 12-14 lbs on my 2 week pre-op without doing a ton of exercise either, although I've heard that ppl who do more exercise b4 surgery have a little better recovery.
One piece of advice I offer is that you drink LOTS and LOTS of water.  I shot for a GALLON a day, plus other liquids..all I wanted of sf jello, sf popsicles, broth, sf tea, Crystal Light, Special K Protien Water, etc.  If I felt like I was going to lose my mind completely, I kept FF, Low Carb Yogurt on hand and I would only take 1 or 2 SMALL bites and keep them in my mouth as long as I could.  It would fake my brain into thinking it had had something.  (Now, I don't PROMOTE this....this is just what worked for me to keep me, personally, from breaking over and eating something REALLY BAD!).   If you stick to your pre-op, you WILL LOSE the necessary weight!  It's NOT a walk in the park, but will be SO VERY WORTH IT!   Dr. D is one of the very best, so you just keep your eyes on the prize girl!!!  Best of luck!
