Deb,

Susan and I buy the Equate Brand multivitamin, its the walmart brand and as for the b-1 we buy the Super B Complex at walmart, its not as big of a pill as the b-1 and has the same stuff plus a few others, we just had our labs done a couple weeks ago and all our vitamin levels are good, my b level was high but she said at MOBar that was still good that our bodies get rid of any of that we dont need.

Hope that helps.

Andy

Beverly, you're just one day "older" than me for your RNY.  My surgery was 7/8/09.  Your info on vitamins is a big help.  I've been buying from Bariactric Advantage and although I get free shipping, it's still expensive.  I have an order coming this week with vitamins, calcium and can of Click for about $75.  The vitamins are for 30 days and vitamins are a 90 day supply.  The Click lasts me a month because I only use 1 scoop a day.  I do love it but may have to find a substitute since it is kind of pricey at $25/can.

My dietician gave me a list of vitamins and said they had to be formulated for WLS patients.

Thanks for the advice.  It will save me some big bucks!!

Hi Jo,
I forgot to say I get all my vitamins and such at walmart.  I used to take the premier prenatal vit but I checked the ones at walmart and actually the ones at walmart have more iron and such in them for a whole lot cheaper.
I think the docs would like you to take only wls vitamins but I checked the ingredients on the different brands and just went with the one that had more for the money.
I have heard alot of good things about click but I can't have anything with caffine in it.
I hope this helps you, I know alot of people take centrum but they don't agree with me..

Hey Deb, I take the Precare Premier Prenatal Vitamin.  It's only 1x a day & has your iron in it.  I am terrible about taking my vitamins, but I am supposed to be taking;  1 prenatal vit, 1 super b complex & 4 citrical petites.  I have medicaid, so I only pay $ .50 or $1 I think.  I know its not more than $2 for my months supply of the multi vit.  The docs at MoBar wrote the Rx for me.
