I am planning to see Dr. De La Torre for Lap Band if he accepts me.  What is the liquid diet you mentioned in one of your posts?  I'm really anxious about the surgery because I know so little.
Please provide me any helpful info.  I would definitely appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jane

Congrats on your upcoming date..Mine was 07-07-08..I have lost 130 lbs and went from a size 32 in pants to an 16/18 depending on the style..am lovin life again..I have had no problems. Dr De la torre was my surgeon also.
Now to answer you question.  I didn't have to do any bowel prep..his nurse told me it wasn't necessary. I quess being on a liquid diet pretty much cleans you out anyway :)..but if your in doubt just call Mo Bariatrics and they will tell you for sure..
Good luck to you and just know that you will be  in very good hands. Dr De la torre knows what he is doing..

No bowel prep here either.  He was also my surgeon.  I would think on a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior it was not necessary.

Hi, I had surgery two weeks ago, and he does not require you do bowel prep.  They do ask that you eat a very soft diet the day before and nothing after 12am.

Good luck with your journey, and you are in very great hands, he is a wonderful surgeon!

If you LOVED me when I was fat, you are going to be OBSESSED when I am thin!
