Anyone had a Deep Tissue Massage?
Hi, MO Peeps!
I'm wondering if any of you have an a Deep Tissue Massage? I'm scheduled to have one in the morning. I understand it can be painful, however, very beneficial. I have horrible neck, shoulder and back pain. I have a shiatsu machine I bought at The Relax the Back Store a few years ago. It helps but not as much as it used to.
If you've had one, what was your experience? Would you do it again? Have you went back several times? The lady I made my apt here in town with said she would only go as deep as my body would allow her to do without pain. I know the shiatsu machine hurts like heck while I'm using it but it feels so much better afterwards. I've done some research online about Deep Tissue Massage so I know a little bit what to expect, however, there's nothing like hearing from someone who has actually had one!

Hi sweet dear Debbie D...
I have a deep tissue massage every 2 weeks like clockwork and if I miss I get to really hurting. It really seems to help me. She works on pressure points and it is painful at the time but releases all that tension and tightness which causes the pain.
Enjoy! Im actually going tomorrow for one. I have another lunch for the Srs and I know I will be a mess so I just scheduled one for afterwards...

Thanks so much for the input! I really think this is the massage I need. My neck, shoulder and back have been hurting so much for a couple weeks now. Have to get some relieve! Jake and I are going on a mission's trip Sunday to KY and I don't want to be in the pain I have suffered the last two weeks! I'm thinking if I like it I may try to have one at least once a month.
Jan, no dh has not found a job yet. It's been over 7 months, however, God has been faithful and all the bills have been paid. Please keep him and our family in your prayers. He really needs a job so we can back to some sort of normalcy in our household. I love my dh but he needs a JOB! I believe God will either bring David the right job or direct David on the path to find the right one in His timing. Praise the Lord that we can always trust our mighty God!
Sugar, you're SR party sounds like a blast! I've been reading all the posts just haven't been posting. I'll try and post more when we get back on the 20th. Please keep Jake and I and the rest of our team in your prayers. I'm 46 and Jake is 14 and this will be our first mission trip. We're going to the Appalachian Mountains in KY.
Well, I'd better get to bed. My massage apt is at 10:30am in the morning. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the encouragement that this is the right massage for me.

I had one and it felt great while I was having it done. She told me to drink-drink-drink after to "flush out " all the toxins. I must not have drank enough because the next day when I woke up I felt like I had been beaten with a whip- I had to call in to work ill because I hurt that bad. The massages I have had after that were not deep tissue as I have been terrified to try it again.
