Proverbs 3:6

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

The other day I was thinking about the scripture in Proverbs 3:6 about acknowledging God; and as I was meditating on that scripture, I thought about the many ways we can acknowledge the people in our lives. For example, my children acknowledge me as their mother, their provider, their caretaker, and of course, their chauffer. But do you know what moves my heart the most? Yes, I love that they trust me to take care of them. But I don't want to be known as just their provider; I want to be known as the one they love; the one they are drawn to. The one they simply want to spend time with just because they love me. When my children acknowledge me with their love, everything else just falls into place. They don't need to ask me for things all the time; I already know what they need because we spend time together.

So the question I ask you today is how do you acknowledge God? Yes, He is your Provider, He is your Protector, He is your Strength, He is your Deliverer, but are you in the habit of simply acknowledging Him as the One you love? It's as simple as saying, "Father in heaven, I love you so much. You mean everything to me. I give you my whole heart, mind, and strength."

I can't help but think how it moves the heart of God when we acknowledge Him with our affection. Maybe you aren't used to being this personal with God, but God wants to be personal with you. He loves you so much. He wants to be involved in every part of your life. It's easy to get a picture in your mind of God way up in heaven, the awesome Creator of the universe; but remember, He wants relationship with you, and your love and affection for Him moves His heart the most. Acknowledge Him in all your ways, acknowledge Him with your love, and watch how the other areas of your life simply fall into place.

Good Morning Andy,

Boy is the Word fresh water to this thirsty soul!

Well the end of David's life has come and Solomon has been made King... and history marches goes on....

I have been enjoying the recent words of Proverbs as it speaks of how our words and actions effect the outcome of our lives...

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver!  The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life...

A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction...

Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers...

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

These words lend me to think of this WLS lifestyle and how some of these same principles apply to our daily routine... when we are wise in our choices we see good results... when we do what we know to do... we see good results... when we surrender our own will or appetites to the right things we see good results!!!

Ok Becky now make those right choices!!! and I know I will be blessed!  Amen and Amen!  I just had to preach myself a little sermon this morning! ~tee hee

Andy the last devotional you sent me was May 8th... so if it is easy to send and not a problem at all then from the 8th to the end of the month of May... other wise I can go back and look them all up... I appreciate so much you sending the other ones it sure did help in the car to get caught up.  I was able to easily keep up with the scripture reading but did not have access to the devotionals.... I sure did miss them.

Thanks for your time and effort but please don't let it be a timely task.

Blessings to all today!
