WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Got a phone call from Michele yesterday morning , they now have their own place , they were staying with her boyfriends mom , but have now made enough to rent them a place.

Said if we could come down Thursday and bring all of her odds and ends. So she can sit it all up...So I guess we will load it all Wednesday night if it isn’t raining and take off down there on Thursday...i will be glad to get rid of all this excess stuff from here. Lol. Have maybe our shed and guest house and greenhouse all cleared out.

Im telling you all I am giving praise and thanks to Jesus daily for all he is doing in her life now. I did tell you all that she is going to church every Sunday now didn’t i? She said she is going to keep on going too because it makes the day wonderful. Im so happy. Thank you Jesus....

So if you have a rebellious child , even if they are grown and married , don’t give up praying for them. If it can happen to her it can happen to anyones child. Amen? Amen....

 

We cleaned the chicken pen and coop this morning and put all of that on the mulch pile . that ought to break down that stuff good.  then we painted all the trim we bought for the guest house. And I have been writing out an ad to put on Craigslist for vacation rental...just like week ends or maybe a weekly rental...but then that way we can still keep it for guest too. if we know someone in the family is coming in for a visit we just put them down on our schedule and don’t rent it then. ....dont think we could ever find good permanate tenants like Andy and Susan again.  would never be that lucky again.

 

Anyway the trim is laying out in the sun to dry now.  Will make sure it is good and dry before we start messing with it so it doesn’t get all over us. We know this isn’t enough of it to get it all done but hoping it will be close. ....after all of that we will need to touch up all the paint on the walls. They are messed up in places. But wont have to paint all of it. we are still having discussions about what to put on ceiling....we are sort of in between on this. Will go buy a new piece of tin in the next day or so and try it and see whatg we think...if that doesn’t work will just put sheetrock up and paint it.

 

My lilies are beginning to open , they are all so loaded with blooms but only the bright pink ones have opened so far. I pulled weeds this morning ....those little reddish weeds that are thick as can be...i think they came from the straw we put over things last fall. Maybe will put something down in between the ground and the straw this year. See if I cant stop that. Maybe newspaper. 

I don’t know what to think about my pineapple sage plant...it comes back every year. Even tho the nursery says it wont in this zone.  And all I do is cover it with about 6 inches of straw...it comes back bigger and better every year. But each year I cut off branches and put then into root stimulator then in dirt in the green house so I will have some new if it does freeze and It doesn’t . yea!!!!

 

Am taking Michele a bunch of flowers down when we go so she can plant them at her new house.

 

Did you all hear about the huge big plane that went down in the Ocean off of Brazil don’t think they have found it yet...they said it was a huge expanse of ocean that it went down in ....

 

Well the weather sure has gotten warn now hasn’t it? we were complaining about the cold now how do you like this? I like it and it doesn’t bother me unless I get out right in the sun and work ...but anyone should know better than that shouldn’t they? Lol

 

 

SUSAN:::: nanas are good for you too. and I don’t think you will have any trouble getting them down either. You know I never was much of a fruit eater except for Strawberries before surgery but now I can eat any of it and will all day long if I have them ...i know I eat too much of them but I figure it is better than something sweet.lol

I read the other day that 24 cherries have the same amount of anti inflammation in them as 3 antiinflamatory drugs. Wow so I bought some cherries and they are so so good.

 

 

SUGAR::::: that is probably what it is for sure. So is the extra weight gone? Hope so.

Leg cramps really hurt don’t they...but you know the weird thing? As bad as these were all up and down my legs and for how long they hurt about 15 minutes...i couldn’t stand I couldn’t sit , my legs aren’t sore , now isn’t that stupid??? Wonder why???

Sure wish I had a pool to get in....

 

 

LOU::::::wow what a week end worth of stuff you did. Lol   you are super woman it sounds like  maybe you are like my daughter was  today... she said she had been drinking de caff coffee and they made some this morning and it wasn’t decaff it was regular. She said she had about 3 cups before she knew it lol 

She said she felt like she was on speed or something. Lol

 

 

SUSIE::::: WELL  I bet your mil wont be disappointed this year in the small amount of outfits you buy lol  don’t disappoint her you hear?

I really don’t think the fat content of food is going to hurt much....it is the bad carbs like anything white that is bad....whole wheat bread is still loaded with bad carbs too or most of it is...there is some out there but it is Whole Grain it is a lot different than what we usually eat.

I don’t know that you need to be a lot littler. I think as we get older that the weight we were when we were a kid just doesn’t work for us anymore...you look good where you are but im sure you are wanting to get farther along. If so you need to up the protein and and water,and exercise, lol I know you don’t exercise and I cant tell you to since I cant do it either. ...you probably need to up your cals but not with bad carbs...love you and hope you can get to where you want to be.

That is a shame about people taking advantage of your son, I know how he feels , Joe and I have always had people living with us . that is until we moved down here lol no one wants to live way down here . that is why we have no money either lol .

COLETTE::::::I use to take the chewable calcium until they quit making them ,,,wal mart has some chewables but they aren’t calcium citrate, they are calcium corbanate and aren’t good for us. ....but Bariatrics advantage is making the chewables again now but they arnt as good as they use to be...but you have to take 6 of them to get enough calcium... but I take 4 calcium pills and then late at night after all my other meds are done I take  a couple of chewables for a treat lol .

My scan of my bones was great, they said my bones were large and strong but all of my joints are gone lol well thank you very much lot of good the strong bones do me but I guess they do , since my joints don’t always work right and I fall a lot it is a good thing I have strong bones I would be laid up with broken bones all the time.  I fell out the back door the other day. we have 3 steps to go down to get to the porch and it is concrete, on about the second step my left knee gave out and down I went face down . well pffffftt. There I was laying on the porch but nothing broken .

My ortho doc says I need rotator cuff surgery but nope not me wont do it. don’t know of to many that had that surgery that it worked, just put a shot in it and let me go.

But I guess I will have to have this left knee replaced. I had the right one done a couple of years ago. It hasn’t done exactly right and still hurts at times but it at least is strong .

 But I would see if they would put you a shot in the shoulder I know with having to take care of your hubby it would be almost impossible ....love you and glad you showed up my angel....

 

 

RENEE::::::lol I was trying to remember who in the world was Tonya...but knowing my memory at times I thought it was just a lapse of memory until you started talking about the kids and the baby and all.

Anyway sounds like you have been really busy and I hope that the  relationship between you and Larry works out.if that is what you want.

I know you are sitting on pins and needles to get the phone call about the new baby.

How is Janet doing? Haven’t heard a word from her since support meeting. I know she is busy but hey she could say hi im fine and by got to go lol

Im glad you and she have gotten so close and can share good times together ...

So when is your friend Tonya  going to have her surgery.? Or is she just now thinking about it? bring her with you to the next support meeting?

 

 

JO:::::::lol well I bet there is more than one or two weeds in my flowers... I just get the worst of them out and then fertalize the flowers so much that they all grow and I can see the weeds better and pull them out and the flowers cover the rest of them lol ...sort of like pulling the blinds of your house and lighting candles to cover a lot of sins , when you are having company lol

I love to read also but have had to go to large print books now. I just cant read the other print.

From what I know of you I don’t think you would have any problem with the xanax but  a lot of people don’t have your strength to be able to say I am going to quit these and do.

I have seen a lot of people taking as high as 8 to 10 of them a day...they are just an old pill that a lot of people have taken for a lot of things....i don’t think you would get addicted  you seem to be a person with your head on straight .....

 

I sure hope your job is safe. There are so many people that are losing their jobs. It is a sad time.

 

 

Good morning to all.sure was another pretty day yesterday.but it got warm.it is supposed to cool down some this week.they say it is going to get down to 51 by wednesday night.it has been soo humid.

jan when andy and i go into town on wednesday i will get some bananas and try them.i have to be at dad's home by 1140am for his care plan meeting.we know you are a proud mom with how well michele is doing.she has come a long way.i saw some of your flower's blooming,they sure are looking pretty.

sugar i am wearing a size 18 elastic waist pant's.they fit me good in the waist but the leg area is just a little big.like your sister said i may have to try on size 16 just to get a better fit in the leg.i have a really nicepant suit someone gave me it is a size 14/16 and i can almost wear it.

lou we bet you and your daughter are ready to have school over with.sound's like you all had a fun filled weekend.you have lost a lot of weight.you are looking great.we are looking foward to seeing you and your mom at the meeting this month.

susie when are you going to sc?we know you will have fun shopping with you mil.andy and i are soo glad to be able to buy thing's at walmart for him.no more buying clothe's at a big man's store.when we do go to walmart he is going to buy one size smaller jean's.

jo we both feel soo much better with losing the weight we have.i could hardly walk for a short period of time even now walking is soo much better.we both can do a lot of thing's better.like i told everyone when i went to get this surgery the main thing was to get rid of my blood sugar problem's.the weight loss was a added bonus.

 Well I spent almost all day buying another car for my DS. I hope it will last him at least a year or two. I spoke to the leaches he has living with him and with my blood boiling its a wonder I didn't hit them. I walked in and found one on the couch smoking. I about blew a gasket. They are not smoking in my house and stinking up my furniture, I bought everything there and I do not want some freeloaders ruining it. Its a shame two grown men taking advantage of him. They have money for Red Bull ,beer and cigarettes but not to buy food or help pay rent or utilities. He is just too good hearted.
Poor DH said this morning we need to be saving for our retirement instead of supporting grown kids. We didn't ask for help from our parents. As it is now he will never be able to quit working and he knows it. At least there is hope for our youngest son. He is working and still in school .We help him out a little but he does pretty well.
I guess we all have our problems with our kids. Overall I have good kids they just cost me all my money. I was gonna go shopping today but guess I better not. Or maybe I should before DS asks for something else. He needs to find a wife to set him straight.

I am loving the warm sunny weather even if I can watch the grass grow. Or maybe its the weeds most of the grass seeds have washed away. My flower seeds are up but no blooms yet. I can't wait to see what they look like. Thanks Jan.

I head to Carolina next week and I am looking forward to it. It is always good to go home. I have lived so far away from my family for so long. My parents won't be there for ever so I need to go while I can. Its gonna be a quick trip but I am looking forward to it.

Susan I just gave away all my 14's or I would bring you some. You are taller than me so they would most likely have been too short. You are really doing great.

Jan, you are a whirlwind of activity.   My husband isn't as energetic as yours either but he does have health problems.  He procastinates too much and naps with the dogs. 

My sinus congestion just won't go away.  If it's not better by Friday I'm going back to the doctor.  Now I have that annoying dry cough that is so tiring.

Susan, I found the women's sizes are way bigger in the legs than misses.  Try an 18 in misses if you now have women's. 

Suzie, I know what you mean about kids even after they are supposed to grown up.  My younger son had people staying with him, sleeping on the couch, taking advantage of him, but he felt sorry for them.  He finely quit that but he has had his share of problems.  The biggest thing for him is alcoholism.  That was so hard for me to accept.  He seems to be doing better and realizes he has to turn things around but what a worry it is.  He has lost jobs due to drinking.  He's the nicest guy (of course Mom thinks so), but Vodka has nearly been the death of him a couple times. 

I got started on Xanax because of my son's problems plus my stepdaughter passed away suddenly.  All this was 4 years ago.  One day I just felt like the world was caving in around me and went to the doctor for help.  He prescribed Xanax and it calmed me down.  I never took more than a couple pills and had not taken it for over 2 years when I took one when I couldn't sleep. 

No matter how old your kids are, they're still your kids and you worry about them.

I really need to go to the gym and exercise tonight but I don't feel like it.  I just want to sit in my recliner and relax.  It's been a very busy day at work. 

Well it was a great work out day...worked my fanny off! Well, not exactly off cause its still there but hopefully less than before.

I have found most of the music I need for the party on the 11th, now it just a matter of downloading it to one cd and mixing what I want on it. Chelle showed me how to do it but if I can remember...that will be the trick. I aslo am going to have to record on to a cassette part of the didgereedoo stuff...anyway, hopefully I will get it all accomplished. I just cant wait for it to be here. It is going to be so much fun. As soon as it is over I am going to concentrate on learning a little bit of spanish for my trip...

I want to get all packed in my little carry on bag and see if it is going to work.

Hi Everyone!

Friday I posted on what I had done in the garden and what I planned to do over the weekend.  We got all the tomatos staked or caged and replanted a few things Sunday.  Yesterday we had such a terrible rain storm that I am afraid that the reseeding will have to be done again but the tomato plants held up well - Dad had told me that I had put the stakes to close to  the plants - ha! I think thats what kept them from being beat down...  Found the bag of knee his and pantyhose under the guest room bed so I put them in the garage so I can find them easy when I want to start tie up the plants.

Yesterday when it was raining so hard I could see a racoon beside our cat on the porch eating with her - I thought coons killed cats?  I went outside in my rain coat and umbrellan the poor thing just looked at me and got down off of the cats house and stood on the porch and looked back at me then looked out at the patio which had about a foot of water running across it then back at me before it took off for the back garage door.  It stopped in the middle of the big pool of water and again looked back at me then went into the garage,  I checked on the cat (she is about 20 years old and is such a loving cat) and the racoon was peaking around the corner of the garage door at me.  Of course I couldn't find my camera anywhere...  It was so pitiful and funny!!!

I had mentioned friday that something was wrong with my eating and I must have had a bit of blockage because I finally was able to eat & keep things down again on Sunday.  That was no fun.  The girls bought my lunch today at work as a belated birthday meal.  We had subs from subway.  I pick off the bread and eat the meat & cheese.  It was so good...

Good afternoon!  What a great day today has been.  Hot but good.  I turned in a contract this am.  Then I had a photo shoot with a photographer for new business cards, she wants to use some of my photos in her advertising.  Then we got to talking about make up and I'm going next week to do some before and after make up on some girls for her adds.  She said she really needed a make up person so after we get these photos done for the adds she's going to have me do some freelance makeup work on some of her clients.  I'm so excited.  I love to do makeup, I've been doing it on friends and family and my kids friends for special occasions for awhile but to actually get paid to do it will be great.  I'm beyond happy about this.  The pics she took looked really good, I'm anxious to see all the proofs.  She's going to also do a blog about my surgery and before and some after pics she took today.  Really cool.  Then I got a call from Jackson Hewitt and my bonus was in. YAY!  What a great way to end an already nice day.  I can't wait to see everyone at the meeting, even though I only missed one it seems like its been forever and in this crazy world of weight loss in a month people change so much.  Can't wait to see the changes in everyone!  I hope everyone has a nice evening and stays cool.  Looks like we might be getting some rain here really soon.  ;) Lou
