CAR WRECK!!

Long day... Jarett and I were coming back from running some errands today... and we were stopped at a stop light and this lady was either dialing or texting... we arent sure at this point. She hit my car going around 35mph... I told Jarett that this lady is slowing down and he had his ear phones in and couldnt hear me... and she hit us HARD!! She totalled her car. My car has some scratches, but nothing serious. Thank God!!  Her car was leaking oil and antifreeze. Jarett was dizzy and not feeling well. His head was hurting and had a headache by the time the paramedics and firemen got there. So, I had them take him to the hospital to get checked out. I was going to have them check me out too. The police officer said I should consider it... So, I got all the info and was told I could leave. I called Kylie ( Jordan gf) and asked her to text Jordan and let him know what had happened... I was too shaken up to text and I wanted to get to the hosp asap and didnt want to pull over to text... Jordan only has text on his phone right now.. ( its a prepaid ) He was at home with Jazlyn. I got to the hosp. and had them check me out as well, by the time I went back there Jordan, jazlyn, kylie and her mom were there. I think that was sooo nice of her to drive across town to pick up my kids and bring them to the hospital. Her and I have never met before, but our kids have dated a long time... I dont usually meet parents when our kids are young :) They did Xrays and CT scan on Jarett and I. We are both good, just sore. The Dr. told me I have a large Cyst on my brain. He said not to be worried, its been there a long time from the looks of it. I told him that I have horrible Migraines... Can this be from the cyst? He said he didnt know?? What? I am just wondering if anyone has experianced this before? I said, "Your sure its not a tumor? My aunt had a brain tumor not long ago" He said, Quite rudly... If it was a tumor I would of said so... He said I wouldnt normally tell a patient, its not a big deal.. Dont worry about it. I am thinking... Are you serious? If it is a big or small one I want to know if its on my brain!! DUH!! I am telling you my whole story because its been an eventful day... we are just fine! God watched out for us!! I am very blessed and so it Jarett and the lady that hit us. She didnt get hurt- but her car did. She was a young girl on her way to work ... in a rush. She may of been 20 yrs old. She was in shock. I am glad she wasnt hurt. I got out the car after I called the police/fire/medical and she was fine. I was really worried about her because she was going atleast 30-35... I am really wondering... (NOT worried too much) if my migraines could be due to this cyst and is it normal for a Dr. not wanting to share that kind of info with a patient? He did say it is Benign (sp?) But, how would he know that if there is no biopsy? Dont you have to have a biopsy to know that?

   I sure hope you all had a better day then us... I am really sore so I am going to take a bath and my pain killers and lay down. If I dont get on here for a day or so... You know why..Thanks again for all the wonderful support ... I wanted to share something else.. I am in 12/14 in pants and tops... I started out if 26/28 in tops and 24/26 in pants!! I am thrilled!!!

 Bless your heart. I got rear ended a few years ago. You could read the imprint of his tag in my trunk. It totaled my new car. You better prepare yourself for a stiff neck to so don't worry to much.day. I had horrible whiplash. Stay home and take care of yourself. Doctors can tell if its a cyst rather than a tumor if it is filled with fluid so don't worry to much.

I would follow up with a neurologist and send your CT films and report you had to the neurologist. The neurologist can then tell if the cyst is in a place to cause migraines (more than a radiologist or ER doc) or if your migraines have anything to do with that cyst. They also may want to run an EEG or further neurological testing. Just what I would do...

Also if the ER doc was not sure whether it was a cyst or tumor, he wouldn't have said and would have referred you on to a specialist. If he didn't, he KNOWS that would be a claim for medical malpractice.

Sorry to hear you were in a wreck, but glad you both are ok.  I have a cyst in my brain too.  It's a small one on my pineal gland.  It was found during an MRI because of my migraines.  I went to a neurologist & it was nothing.  The dr seemed more concerned as to why I was having so many headaches than he was about the cyst.  If I were you, I would try to get in to a neurologist that way you know for sure & you will at least have peace of mind.  Oh, a cyst shows up different on a scan than a tumor, but that doesn't make you feel much better when they're telling you that you have something in there that shouldn't be. LOL
