I feel like someone has run me over!!
I feel like someone has beat the dickens out of me and left me there to die!!!!
I have no and I mean NO energy....all I want to do is sleep.....I just had my B-12 shot on thursday so I know its not that...Plus I have a chest cold thats not going anywhere....
I did go out and get me some juice....boy that was a chore..had to look at everyone of them to find one that had the lowest sugar....cuz I sure didnt want to do the dump thing on top of the way I feel....
I really hate to say this but every since I hit goal...I have not felt good....I did try to eat some more carbs today....good ones that is....thinking that maybe thats what it was.....
I took my load of Vits this morning....and well lets just say they were not happy about going down the hatch....so they jumped ship...I even made sure that they had some soft to land on....I ate some oatmeal just before that....guess that wasnt good enongh..
So could someone please tell me whats going on?
Hugs
but most of the time i do.
If you stay tired like that all the time you need to see the doctor. do you have a good pcp that is on top of what to watch out for with weight loss surgery? we are sort of a hybrid and need a different doc than the reg. run of the mill doctor. take care and hope you get to feeling better

I don't track what I eat every day but a few days a week. Seems like I was tracking something for the last 35 years so I'm burnt on that, but I do keep track of protein daily. I'm supposed to have 800-1,000 calories a day. A girl in my office said she doesn't know how I can eat so little. She is hungry on 1,200 a day. Before WLS I had trouble staying at 1,200 but not now. Maybe you aren't eating enough.
Hope you find out soon while you feel so crummy.

Doesn't necessarily mean that you had them in the beginning or EVER had them before.
I have found that post RNY I found myself battling low sugar issues and/or sugar fluctuations that would literally make you feel like crapola.
If you have a blood sugar monitor I would start keeping tabs on that. Along with keeping a log of the foods you are eating, amts. and when you are eating them.
I have a very reactive response now to carbs and/or sugars and I have to keep tabs on them.... or else I am facing much the same type of symptoms that you are describing.
Hope that this info. helps you out some and that you get to feeling better soon!
Anything WORTH having is WORTH working for !
I had them check my BS levels when I got my Vit screening done...but thats not to say that Im not dropping and doing the yoyo thing either...
I have been eatting, I know that most of the board thinks that I dont, and I understand the concern....However its really hard to eat when nothing and I mean NOTHING tastes good or even agrees with you. I did start eatting protein bars 3 times a day along with everything else that I can get down. But not really liking them either...but doing it anyway.
Today was a little better when I got up...but then after I ate it all went down hill again....in fact I wanted to dump on the protein bar..but did make it through that with out losing anything....just went and laid down for a few. Tried to eat dinner....that was a no go too....will have to find something later I guess....
Oh well guess things will work out eventually....thanks again for your response..and the possitives and just not the negatives....
Love and Hugs...
When you would take my test results during normal test situations (such as when I got my labs drawn - such as you did) they would be well within range. Not so stable during normal everyday happenings.
I continued to present with symptoms such as yours and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. Test results were fine... or were they. I found myself dealing with a reactive blood sugar issue. Depending on my work level (physical exertion/etc.) it could easily vary even from day to day. One day I might be fine and the next day I was physically wasted and ill.... not able to do anything but lay around.
It was kinda like dumping but not... I got the shaky sick feeling with extreme extreme tiredness and lethargy. Sleep was the only thing that seemed to help. I felt (during these periods) like I was in a fog...mental and physical.
I started paying more attention to what I was eating and when... what I was pairing it with/etc. and I worked out something that keep my sugar more constant and stable.
Complex carbs that have a more constant metabolic rate coupled with proteins were the ticket for me.
One thing that I will add... it was not an easy fix either. It took alot of tinkering around. If this is indeed what you might be dealing with it is not going to necessarily be an easy peasy fix. You find yourself in a hyper state of imbalance where the slightest swing can bring on very real and uncomfortable physical symptoms.
Again if this IS what you might be dealing with you are going to HAVE to commit to a more stable and routine eating regime. Right now it sounds like your body is in a terrible state of flux and imbalance and routine is what it needs. I know that nothing sounds good to you right now but continuing to not feed your body is not going to alleviate the situation sweetie. It is only going to make that slope more slippery and I don't want you to get any sicker....
Please let me know what you find out..... if you don't have a blood sugar monitor the local health dept. should be able to stick you.... I would be curious to see what your sugar levels are when you are feeling really really drained and draggy....
Hang in there!!!!!

But when I have what we call slidder foods Im ok. I will admitt Im not consistant with my meal times....most of the time I whenever, which I do because I relize that I havent eatten too much that day so I try to make up for it....
This morning I felt fine until I ate a half of a bannana...then the hole day was shot....but kept going and did eat a hamburger patty with cheese....that made it worse....
Yes it does feel just like Im getting ready to dump when I force myself to eat something, when I start feeling weak and funny....Dang...I just dont know how to explain this....I tryed to explain to the Dr and thats why we ran the BS with my labs....it came back at a 74....I had taken it at work one day because I felt like someone pull the plug and was light headed and it came back at 63....so I ate something to get it up...but still didnt put two and two together for this time.....
Its almost like I havent eatten in weeks....when in fact I have....now is it the calorie amount that I should have that I dont know....just seemed like thats all I have done is eat....up til the last few days....
Again thank you for listening and being understanding....it does scare me....I really do not need to lose anymore weight and Im trying to keep what I have here.....
Hugs
Honey......
I believe that you might be on to something. ANYTIME that I start to see sugar values in the low 70's I call that the slippery slope.
You are more than likely going to find yourself eating several small meals/snacks throughout the day.
To get myself straightened out I had to. I felt like I was a 2 yr. old and I was eating baby meals but it worked.
Please sit down and talk to your dr. about this. The issue that I had was a reactive sugar problem. There are ALOT of post WLS folks that have to work through this very same thing. Just when you think that everything is peachy keen ...BLAMMO ... this pops up and throws you for a loop.
I just want you to know that you CAN get through it ...
