Update on me
Some of you have been following my posts so i wanted to get you an update. Last week I was again admitted to the hospital. My Stoma was closed again after only being dilated a week earlier. They went ahead and put the stent in to keep the Stoma open. I have to keep it in for 4 weeks and then they will remove it. Immediately after having the stent put in i was nauseous. The nausea was awful for 48 hrs. They were even considering removing the stent. They could not find any medications that controlled the nausea. I wasn't vomiting but I was extremely nauseous. They kept exploring different medication options and combinations. They finally found something that worked. Today is my 2nd day of feeling great. I still have touch and go nausea but I'm not going to complain about it! I just take my medication and it goes away shortly. So hopefully I am done with the complications!
On a side note, people are often asking about Dr. de la Torre. Well since Thursday he has been excellent. He has been involved in my treatment this 3rd time around and reassured me they would fix the problem. That was great to hear.
