WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

Is it suppose to rain tonight? Or tomorrow? My body is feeling like it.....

 

Well I got the paper up on the walls of the kitchen, I have one wall that will be an accent wall am going to paint it bright red enamel ....I got up the lace rooster valances up ...put the copper rooster and hen jello molds up on the wall above the sink....it just looks so cute. I will put a picture up when I get the red stove in there and the opposite wall painted. I am picking up the paint tomorrow and some other things that we need to make most of this all done...,well im glad that I looked at the calendar today, our friends aren’t coming in till next week end. Whew....there was no way that we would be able to get everything done I want done in there before they come down. Thank you God. Lol

 

Joe has a guy scheduled to help him put Big Red in the trailer after he gets the floor braced for it.

And we have got to find a ref. for that area too....thought I had one till Joe went and looked at it ...he said he knew I wouldn’t want it in there. Was white but scratched up and really ugly looking. So it is back to square one. I may have to go buy a new one but sure don’t want to....but I refuse to pay 100.00 for something that looks like crap and doesn’t cool as well as it should.

 

Went out to the garden and our squash are doubling in size it seems like ...yellows are about 3 nches long now...yummy can just taste them ....lol I probably will be saying oh my gosh what are we going to do with all these squash. Lol  we will just freeze them , they are a good food and if it gets too bad we have squash for sure.

 

Next week I want Joe to brace the floor for Miss Peg too and get our house plumbed for gas....Peggy was she used on Propane or natural gas?

 

Am going to have supper tonight and see if it makes me want to snack more at night or less.

Having baked chicken breast with green beans and sliced tomatoes from my green house tomatoes....

Every winter I grow some tomatoes in the green house and they always have tiny tomatoes on them by the time I am even planting seeds for the summer ones ...and by the middle of May I am having fresh ripe tomatoes. They are great and good

 

Well my very favorite show starts tonight....SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.:::: wow these are some very talented dancers for sure. The show tonight and for a while is tryouts and they are fun ...but you see some of the great ones on there once in a while.But the ones that make it to the start of the show are all fantastic. Peggy do you like this dancing show?  It isn’t ballrooms dancing although sometimes they will have that as one of the dances to learn....and some of the younger Proffesionals on Dancing with the stars have been ones in the finals of So you think you can dance. Demetri and Chelsea and the young black headed girl that danced with the Punk guy. Lol

 

PEGGY!!!!! Me skinny?? Lol yeah that is why I had to go on the liquid diet for a week , I weighed this morning and have lost 5 pounds , now we will see if it stays off and if it jump starts me to keep losing. I know it probably would if I could do something that would get my heart rate up....but the arthritis seems to get worse the more weight I lose. That doesn’t make sense. Oh well when we go to Az this year I will start the liquid diet on the way there and when I get there I wont be hurting so badly and can do more so I can exercise...My daughter has a whole weight gymn on her carport and front porch. Maybe I will come back from there wearing size 8s comfortably....maybe less. Lol

 

I guess that is why I loved the fact that Kris won on American Idol. He wasn’t one of those that showed off when he sang...he was just singing...

 

Love you sweetie....take it easy and hope to see you soon...have you not heard about any cancelations yet from surgeon? I certainly hope you get in before the end of the month. Is At&t still talking about striking? They better be glad they have a job and stop it lol ....

 

 

ANGY::::: glad to know there was someone else that slept in too this morning.  I sure very seldom get to do that.  Oh wow I cant do the weed eating , that thing is way to big for me to handle but I can use the push mower...or the rider. I just cant handle the weed eater, I think besides everything else it is as tall as me lol

 

Be careful of the burning....use some sun screen from now on. Ok?  It is probably that you never got in the sun much for a few years. So your skin needs re conditioned for tanning.

SANDY:::::: Bec is ok , her girls are both home I think and you know her and those girls.

So don’t worry about her...she will be back on when she gets some time.

So far our garden looks pretty good...hope yours does well too. wow a lot of tomatos plants you have...we have about 30 I think but you really have a lot ....do you make a lot of salsa or something?

SUGAR::::: are you ok now? Did you go get it checked out or are you going to? What do you feel like it is? Man that worries me ...when was the last time you had lab work done , I mean complete , vit panel and all.?

I love the idea of your around the world dinner party for your elderly people that sounds like fun.

Would like to have them to come down for another tea party ....my shade garden is really lovely this year...and so is a lot of other things. Ive got more flowers that have spread over into the yard where the trailer is  too. things are really growing and have to move stuff around all the time to keep up...

Yeah im really disappointed with everyone about the reunion...i thought at least the lake people would want to come....sad when people wont commit to stuff.  Oh I didn’t tell you but you knew I would go didn’t  you ? lol guess I cant say anything after all . sorry.

I guess we will just stay divided lol sorry for all the work you have done on it....I guess that is the reason that Janet when she did the first one just told everyone where and when and if they wanted to go had to make their own reservations lol it was a great idea and I know you did a lot  work on it. appreciate it  and love you for it.

 

 

 

I had all my vit levels checked in December and all my blood levels and all ...the 13 oe 14 vial draw...everything was great. That was right before that other attack. This one was short and not nearly as severe. Sure reminds me of gallbladder pain. Rickey says he still has gall bladder attacks and he had his out a long time ago. Just glad it is over

Cathy Rigby is playing peter pan in Branson...Mary Martin I think might be dead by now...

The reunion wasnt too bad, I just wanted us to stay in one place with our meals together and a place in the dry to meet..oh well, now I will have to return the $ to a couple of people but I guess that wont be too bad. I cant see us getting 40 more responses by Tues...lol

The party will be fun and Im looking up native foods ...which is very interesting. From Antarctica we are having ICE! lol

Well I have a lunch with Joy today and a wedding...not too much more planned!

OH my its early.  I have a crazy morning today.  I'm watching a commercial realtor that I work withs dog.  She's a big chocolate lab, so  I have to get up in the am and go to his house and let her out.  Then to the office.  I have a closing this am.  Things are really moving right now.  I'm so very thankful.  I will be glad when Jade gets out of school.  We can sleep in a little in the am, until  she starts summer school.  About the reunion, I can't go for the following reasons, and I'm sure this is the same for alot of people. Summer is a very busy time.  I have a kid in summer school, my dad is comming in from Arizona for a month, I have to work, going on a float trip, Jade and I are going to Florida for a week, to silver doller city, white water, we are remodeling the kids bathroom....  The list goes on and on.  Hell I can't get to my own family functions.  I have cousins I haven't seen in years.  So this is why I won't be going.  Not that I can't commit, its that I'm commited to too much. Sorry.  Frank starts a new sift at work and will now be off the weekends, I'm beyond happy.  Working retail he hardly ever gets weekends off.  My weightloss is going great, I've lost 8 lbs in the last 2 weeks. YAY!  I'm moving right along.  I love my CLICK!  Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Lou ;)

 Todays the last day of school YEA. I bet I miss it in a few weeks............NOT. I was surprised they called this morning. 
On the reunion maybe if it were just for a day more people would be able to come. Maybe a picnic area at the lake so families could come also. Just a thought. I would love to see everyone all together. I know its hard to get that many people at one place at one time. Thanks for the work you did planning.
My cold is better so maybe I won't be too mean to the kiddos today.I hate summer colds. The humid weather makes it worse and the humidity is on the way.

Good morning everyone.sure look's like it is going to be a pretty day and warm.andy and i just got back from our walk and the sun is out.
my roses out front are really looking nice.we have a big red one in full bloom and a white starting to open.there are some more bud's on the bush.look's like we might have some light pink one's too.

jan the weather said rain starting tomorrow.we hope not.would be nice to have a pretty memorial day weekend.cong on your weight loss.we know it make's you feel better to have lost some more weight.

peggy how is the house work coming along for you?we thought of you this morning.when andy and i went for a walk i saw a small baby snake.it was dead which was a good thing.lol.hope you are feeling better.

 Nope sure didn't get the grass mowed for Gail.I wanted to but my heart wasn't into it.
He just got through mowing the yard plus he went over and mowed the neighbors yard for them.They let it get so tall it drives him nuts so he goes and does it for them LOL.
I did get some irises planted i pulled up from my daughter n laws today.And soon as the sun moves i am going to go put in the cucumbers ain't got those done yet either.
Went out and looked at garden a lil bit ago and the beans,zuchinni,and corn are coming up.I am suprised they are up already. But am happy they are growing. The tomato & pepper plants are all looking good.Pumkin patch is getting bigger too.I still have all the flower seeds Jan gave me to plant but don't really know where to put them. I bought sunflower seeds to plant also. Nikki likes those.
She is over at my youngest sons. His wife Lisa, grandsons,and Nikki are going to camp out in the tent in the yard tonight. We will see if she really does. She was gonna stay allnight there last night but Lisa called around 9 Nikki wanted to come home. I went and got her and she said Mom i missed you is why i wanted to come home.AWWWW. Gotta love her.

Been really working on the house. De-cluttering everywhere. Anyone who went to Peggy's sale will understand that....LOL   Thank you Peggy for teaching me what is important in life.

New floor in the utility room, Love it. Room looks so much bigger. Very easy to take care of it. LOL actually like being in the laundry room.

I miss you all and will try to come down this summer. Planing a trip with grand daughters to Branson which will include a trip by to see you all.

Becky, will come see you too.

Anyone know if we are having a picnic in Sedalia and going to see Dr. H?

Morning Missouri...

Wow...so many of you are SO busy already.  Whew..wears me out just reading about it.

Susan you stinker.   Thinking of me when you see a snake?  Glad it was dead, tho...lol.  My daughter is teasing me that she is going to hide a stuffed possum in my room when I go to see her.  I said if I found any kind of a critter, stuffed or not, that Matt would suddenly become an only child. heehee

Jan...it ran on natural gas.  I know that you can retrofit those for propane but I wouldn't know how.  I know that it is done b/c we talked to somebody about doing that for the farm when we get ready to build.

No word from the surgeon so I guess I have to wait until July and this is miserable.  But the good thing will be that I leave to see Shelb in late June and she is coming home with me for a week or so then my surgery will be right after that.  So the month before will go quick...unless they strike.  Then I have NO idea if it will happen.  They are still trying to talk to the company about it's proposal so it's really going nowhere.  Hasn't for a long time.  They've been without a contract since April.  The sad part is hard to understand...my son works for them also.  He installs Uverse...tv, internet and digital phone.  He does a lot of the same work my husband did as an installer at half the pay.  Plus they are not officially under a contract so no union rules apply to them.  They get worked to death.  So the company's generous offer (ha) was to give them a 50 cents an hour raise and THEN have them doing pole work.  That will lead to them doing phone installs at half the pay.  See?  Guys like my husband won't have a job b/c the company can pay these poor kids nothing and get the same amount of work.  I think it's going to be a long, nasty fight.  We'll see.

We have a family get together on Sunday.  We gather in some little bitty town in Southeast Kansas (where all my aunts and uncles grew up)..eat a lot, talk even more and decorate graves.  My dad is down there so I need to get something ready for his grave, too.  It will be nice.  Think Matt is going to ride down with us.  Hubby has worked 12 days in a row so he is ready for the 3 day weekend.

Jan, I'm painting my kitchen that deep red.  I also have some red appliances.  My kitchen cabinets need paint too but not sure I will get that done next week.

I'm on vacation all next week.  DH is retired and says he's glad I'll be home but he may not be when I get started Tuesday morning with all my projects and include him.  If our little palace didn't need so much work, we could actually go on a vacation.  I do enjoy being home though.  We've lived there 2 years and there's always something to do.

Yesterday was long for me.  Took DH in for an Angiogram and he thought he would stay overnight.  The doctor didn't find any problems with the blood vessels which is good but he still has stomach pain.  First they were going to send him home at 2;30, then that changed to 4:30.  Too far to go home so I went to Target.  Bought the ice cream make attachment for my KitchenAir mixer (protein ice cream tonight!).  Went to Jo Ann's to get a sewing table on sale.  They didn't know what I was talking about.  Went to Kohl's and looked at all the stuff I can't afford.  Sure made the thrift shop prices look good!!

We didn't get home until 5:30.  I was worn out from doing nothing.  DH is a major complainer about health issues and I was so hoping a cause would be found for his pain.  He's had every test available and the source of the pain can't be found.  I'm beginning to think he's a hypochondriac. 

I made the mistake of going to Backyard Burgers for a child's meal.  What was I thinking!!  I've been so careful all this time usually making good choices.  The burger tasted good but I should have dumped the bun and those waffle fries.......my pouch does not like them.  I tosses most of them.  Went back to hospital and prompty threw up my lunch.  Won't be doing that again.  I was kicking myself all afternoon then decided forget it.  It's over and done.  Move on.

I did hear we are supposed to have rain the next 3 days.  Hope not but then I've got sewing projects so guess it doesn't matter.
