Liquid diet is die with a "t"
I'm with you on this. Hate hate hate the liquid diet. It has made me regret the decision of the surgery all together. I just want to go have a beer and a burger, really! I've been eating lots of jello but I don't know any tricks to make it easier. I keep hearing the first 10 days are the worst. Let's hope so.

I did the bouliion cubes for awhile on the liquid diet but it was so nasty. I bought chicken noodle soup and just strained the broth off the soup and drank it .Taste alot better.Plus i lived on s/f popsickles,and G2. and lots of water.
I had same dr as you and it was ok with him. Good luck and soon yu'll be a loser .Its a good feling.

Does your liquid Diet consist of slim fast shakes? I hated the liquid diet, and the slim fast shakes was one thing we had to have with my doc. He said we could have crystal light and of course water. So I made a slim fast shake.
Took a blender, added ice and the single serving of crystal light to make the following flavors. Not the greatest but much better than the same old same old. Of Course I mixed them all with the vanilla
Sunrise Orange = Orange Dreamsicle
Strawberry = stawberry milkshake
Pomegrante= delicious :)
You can also try it with Banana extract (just a lil) and it tastes like a banana milk shake.
Between those and chocolate at least there was some variety.
Good Luck to you!!

I only use bouillon to cook with so you must be desperate. The liquid diet pre-surgery was tough, but I got thru it and so will you. Slim Fast wasn't allowed due to high carbs plus I never liked it anyway. SF popcicles are good but no nourishment there. SF Jello is okay I'm not much of Jello fan. Need a lot of Cool Whip to eat Jello.
If you can have milk, mix protein powder with milk. My dietician frowns on using milk after surgery but I have in once in awhile. Milk was allowed pre-surgery to help me get the drinks down.
All of this will be worth it when the weight comes off.
Good luck!!

I also had a hard time with the liquid diet, but you will get through it. If you cant do the liquid diet you really should re-evaluate having the surgery... After surgery you have to be able to have will power and life style change in order for the tool to work. I had slim fast shakes blended with ice to make it like a choc. shake, sugar free popsicles and jello... along with broth.. you dont have alot of choices, but you will get through it. Try not thinking about it so much.. stay busy.. that helps too!
Best Of Luck!

Trust me that has been on my mind about my will and committment now...what about AFTER surgery? I'm hoping the difference here is that after surgery I will hopefully have the satiation that I don't have now. My body wants to FEEL full and it doesn't now. I have actually made it throught today though (Monday) and no screwing up. This should make tomorrow easier I think. My mentality has been off too in the last week. I have been thinking about what I can't have and sulking instead of what I can have and enjoying not being loaded down with calories, plus of course the end result...weight loss! Eyes on the prize now, eyes on the prize!!
Thanks to all for their input. I appreciate the help!

I was in your same boat. I honestly didnt think that I could do it and once I had surgery I was bound to screw it up. So far, I havent!! ;) It will be easier as long as you follow the rules and dont get off track. You have to listen to your body and change your lifestyle... this is just a tool and you have to use it to build your new body that YOU want... You can do it!! I am here for you if you need someone to talk to. All of us are... This isnt easy... It is surgery, but you have to work towards your goal and use the tool correctly... Sorry, I dont mean to preach, I just want to see you succeed!!
