I know I havent been on to post much in awhile...But I need prayers for my son and I know you guys are so wonderful about supporting prayer requests and I had to come ask you for your prayers!!!
Bubba got his deployment orders today and he will be deploying July 7th!!... Im putting it in Gods hands but the mother part of me still can't keep from worring and being scared to death!!
I already knew he was on the list and he is gone to Kansas City this weekend for his soldier readiness stuff...But when he text me this morning and told me they had set his date I fell apart.... I have never ever been to far away from any of my kids to get to them if they needed me!!!.....
So if you will please keep Bubba in your prayers...I need him back home !!! And pray me & the rest of the family can stay strong for him.. My step dad told me the hardest thing for him when he had to deploy was leaveing his mom standing there falling apart when he walked away to get on his plane...And it stayed with him the whole time he was gone... I don't want to do that to Bubba...So please pray I can hold it together till he is away from me and cant see me...
Thank you guys sooooo very much...I love you all....
Luv & Hugs.....Tammy~ammy

I know how hard this will be for you. I remember how hard it was to see my husband leave. He was deployed in 2004. If it helps at all the risk is so much less now than when the war first started. I know nothing I say will help but you have to trust he will return safely. He has been trained and will not be on his own. He will have a lot of other people looking out  and watching his back. I will keep you in my prayers.I just know he will be fine.
Yes watching you fall apart will be very hard for him so you need to hold it together until he is out of sight. Hard to do yes but you need to do it for him. You will get thru it and so will he.

Tammy we will all keep your baby boy in our prayers of course. i cant imagine how you are feeling because i have never been there but from what Susie says and others that have been there i would say all of her words are words of wisdom....you will get thru it with God on your side...who can be against you....love you and you have all the hugs you need from your friend here on the board.
and if you will come to a meeting we will give you plenty of hugs then for sure. maybe you need to plan on comeing up to the meeting in July for sure. love you sweetie.

Tammy,

I will say a prayer for you son's safe return and for your family. I am not sure if you are a Guard family or a Reserve Family. But I know that both groups offer a Yellow Ribbon event at 90 days, 60 days and 30 days before deployment and reunion. They also hold different events for the families while the Soldier is gone. I highly recommend that you connect with the group you are from and they will give you a lot of good information. And most likely you will meet other parents who are going through the same thing.  It will help you build an additional support system while he is gone.

If you arent sure who to contact let me know. I k now the Guard Yellow Ribbon gal for the state of MO and I work with the Reserve Family Programs so could get you your information straight up on that one. You can email me at [email protected]

Best wishes to you and your family.
