WHATS HAPPENING ON BLUE MONDAY

It hasn’t been too bad of a Sunday...not as wet as I thought it was going to be...how about where you were? Not a lot of sun but at least no rain well not a lot anyway.  We glot a lot done today....setting up the guest house...still need some things like curtains for the living room...Joe is going to try and finish up some things in there tomorrow. And have to finish up the kitchen. Have the basic part done just decorating now.

Did any one watch the Amazing race?  I wanted the young deaf boy to win ....i hope all the other reality shows don’t end without my favorite winning.  Lol

All three of my kids called me today wishing me  Happy Mothers day....that was nice. Better than some other gift. That makes me feel like they really do care lol I hope they do. I guess they have realized and grown up some...

Well not a lot to talk about I guess, my mind seems to be blank. Just did a lot of heavy labor today...tomorrow is to be the same....about the only thing we have left to do is do the ceiling all thru out....still haven’t come up with a different idea than what I thought of before....

Cant wait till our Boot Camp....Peggy are you going to make it down? Would love for you to. Sugar are you coming down for a day or two or all week? I hope any other of you that would like to come down do....we will have fun and hopefully get ourselves back on track and off carbs again. if no one appears but Vesta and Barb , myself and Andy and Susan...they aren’t off onto carbs but they can help us that have gotten lazy and eating wrong...plus getting ourselves use to walking and exercising again.  I have a treadmill and elipitcal and exercise ball ....wish we had a pool...lol I keep saying that every summer and haven’t gotten one yet lol

SUSAN:::::: Sure glad  that your brother wasn’t hit by the tornado...hope they get their elect back on soon. I know that has to be bad at least they aren’t having to try to be warm too. there is always something to be thankful for it seems.

You are more than welcome for the ride to see Bec and Paul...I just thought you two might want to go too. ....Hey if it isn’t raining tomorrow  I think we have to get our tomatoes in the ground...we will use the tubs for flowers when we get some dirt or cantalopes or something.

SANDY::::::oh I really feel bad about the baby pulling up your plants. Oh my No I cant imagine someone letting a two year old out side without supervision. That is nuts.

We have a fence around our garden but isn’t to keep out babies but 4 legged adults and babies. Lol of course it doesn’t keep out the squirrels if they decide to go down and do something but it does others. I guess deer could jump in there but don’t think they will. Our dog keeps them run off most of the time.

Glad that your daughter called you this time. hope you had a great Mothers day.

BARB:::::: I have wondered about those magic jacks....it sounds too good to be true....do they run thru your computer? Any disadvantages’? sure am anxious to see you again....hey maybe Peggy could come down with you , you think?

I would love for Peggy to ride down with me but, when I talk to her it is pretty doubtful. She is really hoping they have a cancellation and she can get her surgery in prior to the strike. Maybe she will get a date this week and it would enable her to go, I keep hoping.

The Magic Jack does work through the computer with just a little adapter. The only disadvantage I see is you have to leave your computer running to get phone calls but, I don't use it for that. I talk to my nieces and nephew in Florida and it is a good clear phone call.

I have quite a list of thing to do this week so I can feel comfortable leaving next week. I know this week will go fast.

We had a nice family dinner yesterday at my brother N laws house. My son and DIL brought me about a 3 foot tall hostas plant. I am being told to place it on the south side of the house. What do you recommend Jan?

Hope everyone has a great week.

Hugs; Barbara

the Hosta needs to be where it gets shade at least from the afternoon sun....they can be grown where they get lots more sun but require a lot of water.... i always just plant mine in the shaded area they really do quite well there. ....

I hope everyone had a great Mothers Day. Both my boys called so they remembered. I didn't do anything special. DH said I wasn't his mother. I wasn't expecting much from him anyway. I have an orthodontist appointment today so I will be miserable tonight. I always feel like I have been hit in the mouth with a baseball bat after an adjustment. I think I have about another year of wearing them. I sure hope its worth it.
It is so foggy here this morning I can't tell if I will have sunshine or clouds. I am sure hoping for some sunshine and warm temperatures. I am not gonna hold my breath. I haven't heard the forecast but they aren't always right anyway.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you for signing my card.

Susan;

I have such mixed emotions about the boot camp...LOL   I am so looking forward to visiting all of you but, hate the thought of all liquids. Actually, I have such an addiction to carbs, I just don't know what it is going to do. I hope it will be easier than I think. I don't think I will be bring Baby. She gets upset when I am gone but, more upset when we don't go home. She is such a creature of habit. I love it that we are close buddies but, she needs to learn I will come back.

See ya soon!

We spent most of the day in the garden finishing up planting etc...  It's DONE for now.  When we came back in the house about 4pm I had a wonderful message on the answering machine from my son and grandkids.  Played phone tag trying to talk with them yesterday.

I am back down to 155 pounds, everybody says I look good at this weight.  I don't know what I will be happy at...

I won 1st & 3rd place at the Nurses Day Chili Cookoff!

I rarely post here but I do read a lot.  I was disappointed that Margie and Luke didn't win.  So glad the 2 sisters that were so mean to Luke didn't win though.  There's no way I could have done something like that race even when I was young.  I do love to see the different countries.

Anyone watch Biggest Loser and Dancing With the Stars.  I'm hooked on both shows.  I'm hoping Mike wins BL.  Not sure about DWTS.
