WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

What an awful day Friday was.....is every one ok?  We are fine down here but Lord I didn’t know if we were going to be for awhile. The wind was going around in circles and the huge big elm trees out front were whipping every which way....but once again we managed to be ok... It was really bad for a little while .....after the first little bit Sugar called me to see if we were  ok. She said she was calling everyone to see if they were ok...

Hope everyone will chime in and let us know that they are ok...

 

After the weather calmed down Joe went fishing lol of course he caught nothing.

 

Is anyone going down to Branson to try and get on Wheel of Fortune? They are doing auditions Sat and Sun. if I thought I wouldn’t freeze up I would go try out but I know what I would do. My brain would just shut down and I wouldn’t be able to even remember who I was let alone what the puzzle was. Lol ...when we were on one of our cruises they had a game show thing and I got on it and made a complete fool of myself..lol at least I was able to laugh about it ...

 

Im going to be meeting Bec today about 1pm over at the college in Branson. She is down for her youngest ones graduation and is loading up her stuff to take it all back home . but since they were coming down with the trailer they are bringing down the lawn ornaments that I bought at Peggys sale....things like a huge strawberry jar, bird bath, big rooster statue and a real cute little boy kneeling down looking at something. Going to put the little boy on the edge of one of my ponds. Thought he would be cute.

I hope to get a picture of her that she can put on here for her a new avatar. She really needs a new one up...she thinks she hasn’t changed much but she has a lot.

 

Talking about changing , I need to take new pictures of  Andy and Susan....they are changing almost daily......im hoping that all of us that do the boot camp starting on the 18^th will be able to put new pictures up because we have changed . too.

 

In between rains and showers I planted some more beans in the garden...these are for dried beans....i hope we get a lot of them....they are called ying-yang...say they taste like pintos...

Well still need some dirt any one have any idea where I can get some , cheap????

That would have been bad, No my knees and back have hurt all day...too much humidity and the barometer is low...

Well I have hurt too much today, im taking some pain meds and going to bed...hopefully it will straighten up for Saturday....love to all of you....Night.

 

 

Hello sissy and all you other OHers

...hope everyone survived the storms yesterday. All we had I think is some more limbs down...big ones that I wont be able to handle alone...but if that is all the damage we will be blessed.

Poor Rick worked all day yesterday and into the night..got home around 1:30 and had to be back at work at 6 this morning. They have lots of broken poles again.  They have crews from other coops in to help them as they have alot of customers off.

Well the grandkids play was last night and I tell you it is remarkable what they do...it was the "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"...Skyler brought the house down with his protrayal of the the dwarf (the witches sidekick) He was hilarious and even used this funny raspy voice...Everyone was great...Ember was the witch, Christian was Peter, Kenan was Edward, Chloe was the unicorn and Levi was 2 or 3 parts. But all of the kids had speaking parts and none of them even hesitated on anything. I am getting a dvd of it so I can watch it again and of course so Rick can watch it since he was working.

I need to get off of here and clean house. My MIL and FIL are coming to spend the night and need to at least clean their bathroom a little bit...lol

Good morning to all.did anyone get anymore rain.we got some more here this morning along with some thunder.the sky still has some dark cloud's in it.wi**** would stop.andy said there is one tree down across the road where we walk.we are praying everyone made it through the storm's ok.some people got a lot of damage.

jan andy and i will let you take our picture when we are dressed up again.hope you get to feeling better.the humidity has been high.

susie we know you are glad it is the weekend.when kid's cannot go outside they get restless.school is almost out.

 Thanks for the chart Jan  I saved it for future reference .Tell Bec she needs to put her skinny picture on the board. I know how skinny she was getting last time I saw her and that was a while back.  I can't wait to see you Susan. I bet you look so different. I am sure you are feeling better.

Morning Missouri...

Cool and sunshine here....after a ton of rain yesterday morning it turned out quite warm.  No more rain until tomorrow.

Want to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day....remember those of you who may not have birth children are still moms to many in many ways.  So it applies to all....you are loved.

So the farm sagas never end....here we go.  We had rented a portapotty.  The loser we rented it from didn't show up the night it was supposed to be delivered.  He called the next night (around 6:30) and wanted to deliver it then.  We had just left and weren't going back.  So we scheduled for the next night.  He was SO late when he finally got there it was dark.  And he had a nasty personality.  Sooooo....he was supposed to pick it up Saturday afternoon.   Didn't show and no call.  We are there Sunday afternoon and when we finally leave he calls!  Nope, we're not going back.  Mark rescheduled for Tuesday night.  Does he show....nope and no call.  So what does hubby do?  HE MOVES IT TO THE ROAD!!!  By the gate.  We never hear from the guy so I assumed (stupidly) that he had picked it up.  So....the phone rings this morning.  Cass County sheriff calling because somebody had SET IT ON FIRE!!!!  Oh my goodness....I can't believe this! We will go tonight and see what kind of damage was done to the gate.  So now there's a burnt potty on the road....guess the millionaires across the street got tired of smelling it....hahahaha.

Hopefully it's not too bad and I don't there was any damage to the rest of the farm.  The sheriff said that kids are always breaking into areas where people aren't living yet.  He told us that it may get worse when we start building.  That's when they see the most trouble.  We may have to move a little trailer out there and live in it when we start building. We'll see.

Other than that I've just been getting things caught up and running a lot of errands.  So I need to get to laundry and vacuuming.  Love you all....

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

Only have a few minutes then it's off to Luke's final "Pops Concert".  David and Jake have an Eagle Court of Honor to go to so my Mom is going with me.  I'm going to take her out to dinner after the concert and give her the Mother's Day present and card I got for her. 

Needless to say it's been a BUSY week!  I still have so much to get done, please pray for me.  My hubby went on a pity party yesterday and didn't help me around the house like he said he would do while I was getting pictures cropped and printed to put at Luke's graduation table.  Today DH went to a Boy Scout Fund raiser.  Was suppose to be there between 7am and 12pm.  However, didn't get home until 4:30.  He said that he and the boy whose Eagle Scout Court of Honor is tonight were the only ones there to tear it down.  Needless to say, my house is a wreck and I am feeling overwhelmed.  It doesn't help matters that I haven't had a period since March.

Enough of that.  Luke got a lot of Awards on Seniors Honor Night.  Including top 10% of his class, Academic Letter awards for all 4 years, President Award, and a lot of others I can't name right now.  He did get two local scholarships so that will help too.   Last night they had the Theater and Music Awards.  It was like a Black Tie event.  He got best support male actor for his role in "The Nerd" and he was nominated for a lot of other stuff two and got a couple of those as well.  He has two cords to wear around his neck for graduation.  Luke is a well rounded young man.  I continue to trust the Lord to guide and direct him.

My youngest, had his last choir on Thursday night.  I still can't believe he will enter High School this next year!  Where does the time go?  My 12 year old video camera bite the dust last week so DH did buy me a new Canon HD Camera.  It's actually last year's model and Nebraska Furniture Mart let me buy it at the price that Sam's Club would have charged me.  Had to talk to a manager and negotiate.  I've only used it twice. I'm going to tape the performance tonight.  Now if I can just figure out how to get the stuff from the Camera HD to my external HD then make DVD's I'll be doing okay.  Don't know if I'll have time for that this week or not.
