Camping June 12th 13th and 14th at the State Park in Osage Beach/Kaiser MO
It's just a little camping get together. There are plenty of hotels here in Osage Beach for those that dont want to camp. You can just stay with us at the camp site during the day then go to the hotel at night. I'm going to try to get my cousin's pontoon boat also. It's a ugly thing but it floats lol they call it the TURD. Of course kids are welcome. There is a 5 dollar a night camping fee thats for one camp site with 6 people. So Im sure we can all chip in a buck or two for the camp sites. As far as the food goes we can all just plan on doing our own thing for breakfast and lunch and then dinner we can all chip in meat for the grill and one side dish. I think that will be plenty of food for everyone. If anyone wants to buy pork steaks to go in on "meat on a stick" I'll cut it all up and skewer it (with some help wink wink hint hint) It's fabulous!!! My family loves it. It's just the meat from the pork NO FAT and I marinade it overnight with fresh ginger and fresh garlic and soy and olive oil. You'll LOVE them trust me. I have to make about 50 skewers when I make it for my family. I'll need to do that the night before we go camping so it can marniade. And so I can do it my kitchen lol instead of in the woods somewhere.
Im getting excitied about it as I type. I used to HATE camping before because I was always soooo big and fat I was miserable. Always too hot and not comfortable and hated every min of it. But last year I went and it was soooo fun!!! My family went for the 4th of July and now we're planning it again this year since everyone had such a good time.
I have a big screen tent I can bring for the food and coolers and such. I also have a 6 person tent and a table I can bring. I'll also see if I can get a jet ski also. My cousin has 5 but who knows if he'll be using them or not. So I'll find out.
I think what we'll do is the night of the 12th which is friday my hubby will go out and get the camp sites and camp out over night then we can all go down Saturday the 13th and 14th then leave Sunday the 14th. Sound good??? My husband LOVES camping so he won't have a problem staying friday night. He did it last year too---camped one night all by himself. He's a good hubby had the whole camp site all set up and fire buring when my brothers and sister and I got there.
I can't wait to see you all on Saturday at Chili's. Hope you all can come out for camping or just spend the day with us on Saturday. We can even go and see the swinging bridges.
Any other thoughts or ideas please let me know. So it looks like June 12th 13th and 14th for camping!!!
