WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY
Got into the garden today, the ground worked up really good. We have lots of Bermuda grass in that area so it will be a fight all summer to keep it out. But with four of us maybe it will be defeated , we have spoken lol....Joe started using the mantis today and he kept getting that durn grass wrapped around it and jamming it up so he would stop and get it off then go at it again. well it doesn’t want to pull any now. It starts and runs but wont go forward. If you take it out of the dirt the tillers turn but you put it in the dirt and doesn’t do anything.
Oh well that is how it goes if something doesn’t go wrong it isn’t a normal day.
Andy I hope I didn’t work you too hard. He went in at lunch to have his shake and so did I , I was back out working and Susan said his lunch didn’t sit to well with him. So Susan and I worked. Joe was in the house taking a nap by then . We planted some water melon and cucks. And Susan was over planting more onions and I was getting up grass. I looked around and I was out there by myself...HEY!!!!!where did everyone go? I feel like im not very strong but I guess I outlast all of these young whipper snappers. Lol
We have to get some more dirt , we have to. To fill the tubs for the tomatoes. We have about 8 big boys and 8 pineapple tomatoes... that should be enough. Then we have to plant Eggplant and Okra yet in the garden yet. Our beans and all the green veggies are all looking great.
I saw in Mother Earth magazine that one of the best mulches to put in between the rows of the garden is cardboard boxes.....wish I had all of those left over boxes that Peggy had at the sale. Wow would be able to cover the whole garden then they will be almost decayed by fall and will plow it into the ground.
Tuesday night we have been invited to our Granddaughters house for supper , She said it was her Mothers Day deal since she had to work Sunday.....im anxious to go see her and the babies. I miss them living next door . I wish they still lived here really but the only way they could really live here would be with another bigger bedroom built onto the trailer . No we aren’t going to build a bedroom onto the trailer. If we build it will be onto our house....
SUGAR:::::well did you get all your stuff done today??? Sounds like you could have met yourself coming or going which ever you was doing. Lol you need to stop and smell the roses too....i have some blooming if you want to come down....
SUSAN::::: well there wasn’t as much mud as we thought there would be was it....that Bermuda grass out there is a pain for sure. I have two blisters on my hands. I forgot to wear gloves. Stupid me.
Hey you know what I found out on my Natural Medicine website about feeling weaker...it is because we drink so much water , which is necessary but it washes out our potassium....which causes us to be weak...so since we do have to have the water, we will have to take extra potassium ...i know since I have been taking a potassium pill I am feeling better. But still having muscle cramps..
Dr. H. wants me to have the Copper in my body tested....cant find anything about that. He said my potassium level was ok..but then I have been taking the extra for about a month.
PEGGY::::::there you are sweetie....YOU SHOT MY CHICKENS ???? OH NO!!!!!! I don’t know what im going to do with you two girls. SHOOTING MY CHICKENS. YIKES!! HOW AWFUL. Sob-sob.poor chickens ...oh woe is me.
I have some hens and chicks that you can plant in your ash can and they will be so apropos too lol but the next time I am going to see you I will bring you some.
Sweetie Sugar and I were happy helping you out ....I know we couldn’t stay as long as Barb and Bec did but we loved helping you while we were there. ....wish I had more of those chicken things lol you think I could become addicted to them.?
You have a great husband and son, don’t know your daughter but no reason to think that she isn’t a great girl also. And that is great about your thyroid pill working like it is suppose to. Good for you to think of that.
Cant wait to see you again. hope you can come down .....if you want to see some of my flowers right now look at the web site at the end of this post ok.....
BARB ::::::: lol I guess someone might get tired of hearing us talk about the sale , you think? They wouldn’t if they had seen it, would they?
That was good of your granddaughter and son to help out too.
You can bring Baby with you no problem....she can go with us on the walks and stuff.
We can talk and get idea from each other...gosh I hope this does make me start losing again. I am so tired of being this same weight now for 2 years.

Anyway we waded mud up to our knees, we had to walk about a mile from where we parked down hill going up hill coming back, but they was going to charge $5.00 adult but they didn't because of the mess, and it rained all day on us, but it was an experience, all I bought was an old kerosene lamp it was so neat, I wanted to buy a Hat they had a Victorian one but couldn't catch up with the girl, because it was so nasty and so many people, I may go back during the week and see if it is still there, I collect Victorian hats and etc. but we had lots of fun there was 5 of us , we took my van so we had lots of room.and had so much fun....they said around 6000 thousand last year and I think they did it again, they had to park in fields and everywhere, they had tractors pulling people out of the mud...
Jan do you have anywhere to park a small camper? how many is coming? and for how long? sounds like a lot of fun, I would have Virgil pull it down for me and come back and get me....so anyone that don't snore can bed with me I have a queen size bed...lol
sounds like everyone is doing good , I am so glad Brenda is better also Lynettes husband, well everyone have a nice crazy wet day...love ya all....vesta

Hope everyone is well, have a great day.
We put in 110 tomato plants, 2 dozen cabbage and 1 dozen broccoli plants and 2 rows or 5 bags of onion sets and 3 rows of green beans and 1 row of cucumers. Almost forgot the 2 rows of peppers...
I am tired and stiff and sore but I can't complain if an 80 well almost 80 year old man can do it without whinning I can also. He turns 80 on the 17th. I was going to have a big surprise party for him but he asked me not to so will ask family to come and have lunch with us at Ponderosa dutch treat and I will provide the cake.
Dad is going to plant the lettuce, carrots, parsnips, swiss chard, spinach and what ever else we have in the seed box. This does not include any of the seedlings I have been raising. I hope the Hillbilly and old German tomatos live as I paid way to much for them at the Farmers market on Battlefield last sat. when I was in Springfield.
Need to finish up my laundry and then get ready for bed. I have to make a huge pot of chili tomorrow night for the Nurse's Day party at work Thursday night as I am entered in the chili cookoff. Wish me luck!
