WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Jan C.

I felt so closed in on Sunday that I got out and walked around in the rain. I hate it when I cant get out and work in the yard....

Went over and went thru all of my goodies that I brought back from Peggys sale and was wishing I could have gotten more lol...i wish I had bought a set of the chicken dishes for the trailer ....oh well anyway I have lots to find a place for that is sure.  Will be getting the bed in the back room put together this week and putting up curtains for that room....

Wish now that I had bought a couple of those cute rooster cabinets that Peggy had for sale too lol they would have really been cute in the trailer. I would have had to hire a moving company to have gotten all I wanted lol. Wonder if that is signs of a hoarder lol

I do have a lot of stuff , maybe I ought to get rid of some of it,

Hoping it will be better weather on Monday and Tuesday. I have to get the u-haul  back on Monday...and if it is pretty enough will try to work in the garden. Need to get the weeds out before they get any worse....

Need to plant the melons and stuff in the garden and get the tubs filled to plant the tomatoes....I got a ripe tomatoe off one of my green house grown tomatos yesterday.  And another plant has 4 on it...not ripe yet but will be before long.

Have to get my strawberry bed made up Monday also and get the strawberries planted. They are all sprouting in the pot I put them in. I just stuck the whole 25 of them into a pot and put dirt over their roots , they are all green now and growing lol  so need to get them into their bed quick...

Would love to go to the spring time festival at Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds on Monday in Mansfield but don’t know if I will have the time. it is a great fun place to be ...there is all sorts of heirloom plants and seeds and all sorts of other things too. music and good natural foods and speakers about plants and planting. It is a great place for a gardener to go. But don’t think Joe is wanting to go....i guess I could go by myself. But if it is pretty need to work in the garden...

SUSIE::::: it is cool down here too and rainy...., we have had our hummingbird feeders up for a while.and they have been around for a while ...we had one to get into the  greenhouse the other day and couldn’t get out , poor thing wouldn’t let me help it out , I don’t know if it got too hot or just too scared but it died .. I  almost cried poot little thing.

Wish you could have seen that sale , it was unexplainable really. I hope you will get to come down at least one day if so call me and I will tell you how to get here.

BARB  S: I understand what you are saying about the sale. I don’t think I have ever seen anything like it in my life have you?

I enjoyed helping  Peggy and Mark out too. was fun even if it were tiring....so is Bec still at Peggys or do you know.

Im anxious for you to get to come down here..on the 18th.

SUSAN:::::;boy you and Andy are both are  littler than you were when I last saw you on Wednesday

Amazing shrinking people live next door lol

Hope we get to work in the garden on Monday....

LOU:::::im really glad that your are getting lots of business...that sounds like a fun trip for you and your daughter....maybe you will be thin enough by then to wear a bikini.......isnt it great how much better we feel? I guess we lose the weight and feel so light that we think it is energy lol

You are doing so good losing weight each month you look so different.

SUGAR:::::: you need to slow down a little and smell the roses. ,come on down I have some in bloom that you can smell. Lol

That will be great about the cabins or lodges or what ever.....i know it is hard to get anyone to commit but if they don’t we wont have a reunion.....there will be some who will and some who wont ....

The kids wild west days at their church sounds really cute....they are always doing something down there aren’t they?

Bec and Paul sure know how to make people feel at home don’t they?

Im glad we got to go up to Peggys together. I had a lot of fun , we just don’t get to do enough together.

SANDY::::you need to rest up girl....so that when the ground does dry out you can get your garden in.

COR::: was great to see you , you sure are a tiny little thing that is for sure. ....I hope you find some whey protein that you like. It really makes a difference in how you feel....loved seeing you on Thursday...i think it was Thursday .

I cant imagine ever being in a size 6 good grief that is tiny....

Good morning to all you OH peeps! I am up bright and early to get the day started and have ...oh..about a million things to do today! So I need an early start.

I sure hope Peggy survived the sale...havent seen hide nor hair of her on here. Peggy are you out there? Jan and I are making plans for sometime when you can come down and see us...cant wait!

I am meeting a friend for lunch today who moved off a couple of years ago and she comes back this way to visit occassionally. Cant wait to visit with her today.

I will call the place in Lake Ozark about our lodge for the reunion today too, and I have to set up for my fish fry for our mission fund raiser today. E-GADS, I also have to call the mission guy and talk to him and the girl that is going with me and arrange some things. Another fellow at church gave me some more fish last night and another guy is going to hel***** fry fish and his wife said she would make a bunch of coleslaw. One other fellow said he could come help fry fish...so now I need to find people to bake me some desserts! Cookies would be nice because we wouldnt have to slice and serve them...Oh yeah, I also have to call Harter House about some fish, need to make sure we have enough of that...then get potatoes and hush puppie fixins...UGH!!!! Ok, Im pooped for the day!

Love to ya all!

Whew.....I am BEAT!!!!  And I STILL have to go to the farm this afternoon!!!  But it's only to be there while they take down the tent.  Everything is cleaned up and stored or in the trash pile and all that's left is the portapotty and the tent and tables.  WOOT!   No more critters or dirt or mold or poop or.....

I did want to get on here and let you know I was still alive, mostly...lol.  Sent Bec packing this morning (after lots of tears and hugs).  I already miss her.  She stayed with me all this time and worked and worked and worked.  And BARB wears me out!!!  She came every day and just jumped in and worked like the dickens.  I honestly know that there is NO WAY I could have had the sale without the help you all gave.  You have blessed me beyond belief.  I was floored when you jumped in and started sorting and unpacking.  Never in my life have I had people do that for us.  I am beginning to understand the meaning of true friendship.  I have done nothing but cry for days over your selflessness.  I love you dearly.  I just hope that if you ever need my help that you would let me know.

And I just enjoyed your company!!!  My boy thinks you all are a hoot.  I noticed he jumped right in and gave you all as much grief as he gives me.  He's a good kid and he sure likes my girls, as I call you all.

Yesterday we went and finished clearing the tables and packing the leftovers.  We took Mark's big gun (AK47) with us with plans to shoot some glass.  We ended up shooting chicken mugs and had a blast.  Bec LOVED it!  She would shoot and hit a mug...it would explode and she would just dance and laugh!  Who needs therapy? Give me a gun and let me shoot chicken mugs!  Felt good.

I have decided to take the ash can that got sacrificed during the snake saga and plant something in it as a memento.  I loved that idea!  Course I shot a hole clear thru it so maybe something that will spill out the holes.  Too funny.

The weather is gorgeous here today.  We were really blessed that the only day of rain we had during the sale was on Thursday.  The ground was actually pretty dry yesterday.  But I'm sure we will have more. I have so much to do around here that I have had to start a list to figure out where to start.  I really need to work in the yard....haven't had a chance this year and it shows.  My flower beds are a wreck, there is the basement and of course all the running around I haven't had a chance to do.  I need to schedule my surgery, get my hair done....ok, enough.  I'm tired just thinking about it.

Better get.....love you all.  Glad to get on here and see you all.  And once again,  I am so humbled by what you all did....I can't even begin to thank you.

By the way, I've actually lost some weight.  I think it has to do with taking my synthroid at night.  Seems to be working better.  Yay.

Hey all;

I wonder if everyone who didn't go to the Sale of the Century is sick of it yet....LOL

Did I tell you all my 16 year old granddaughter was there on Saturday and was helping. She says she had so much fun. She kept helping some lady and was talking her into buying things, telling her "I think you really should buy this or that" and the lady would respond, you think so, and then buy it, Anissa sold her 6 boxes full. She was so into this sale! I even got my son into helping some of Friday and a friend of our was helping to unload the trailer on Friday. I tell you the Scott's were all about helping with this sale. LOL

I think I am so ready for the Boot Camp. I need to start my weight loss again. I just can't decide if I need to take Baby or not. She freaked out when I sent her home with my son. It is truly like having a 2 year old again. LOL

Well, have dinner started and need to tend to it.

Hugs; Barbara
