So what does happen when our Iron levels go down to low? I know that one of the side effects for low iron is one, being tired all the time. But what else happens.....Just wondering

Cor, with not enough iron of course you have anemia, which means that you dont have enough ox.egen in your blood which makes the heart beat harder to try and put more in there. if left untreated can cause heart attacks.   the cause of all of this is from not eating enough more than likely we do have a problem with this already since we cant eat much but i think you eat less than most then on top of that we dont metabolize  food the way most people do. Doctor H. will get you on a large amount of Iron to get you built up....once you are up there and get a good report take your two multi vits with iron two times a day and then take an extra iron every day...hope some of this helped....

well I eat plenty, and my iron was still dangerously low, it came back 4.2, dr h put me on pruvate 21/7, 9medicare doesn't cover it, about 34.00)  I don't know what I feel like with normal iron so i have to guess on the symptoms....very exhausted ALL THE TIME, always needing a nap. extra cold...dry skin. UI have been taking the pruvate about 10 day's I think I am starting to feel better but still tire pretty easily, don't know how long it takes to work.....btw they also put me on 50,000 units of vit d once a week also around 30.00 (16 wk supply)not covered by insurance either !!
