Daily Bible Reading - Wednseday April 22nd
We read in Luke Jesus describing the end times, way back then He said that time is short but we don’t know when, you know today time is even shorter. Some of the wars described in the Bible are taking place today, I don’t believe we lack but the last couple trumpets to sound before we’ll be called Home, sure makes me exam myself even more.
The devotional is really encouraging today, it reminds me of a lot of people on the board here, after losing weight having new dreams and visions for their lives. I know for Susan and I losing weight is giving us a brand new outlook on our lives, like God is breathing a new and fresh dream and vision into us. It’s funny how being over weight can really effect a person not only physically but mentally and spiritually. Its almost as if blinders are taken off your eyes as the weight comes off. Watching Biggest Loser last night they were showing how the young kid, Mike, had all this built up anger inside for the last 18 years because of being so over weight. It made me think back to myself when I was in high school and how tough it was being over weight then, I can only imagine its even tougher now but thank the Lord we have a God that can and will breathe new life into us. Like the scripture says in Cor. “Old things are passed away, behold all things are becoming new" Its that new and fresh breath of God in our lives that will get us to our goal in weight loss and will give us new and bigger dreams and visions, how exciting is that? Makes ya wanna get out there and run!!
***Peggy*** I’d a been like a scared school girl with that snake LoL I havnt liked snakes since I was a kid, dunno why. That kind of taught me a lesson too, thanks for sharing that. Im so glad you have been able to stick with reading and studying, it’s really thrilled my heart that I’ve been able to also, there’s been a few days I’ve gotten behind or just didn’t want to but being diligent and pushing on through really has helped me grow so much these last couple months, I so appreciate you sticking in there and for putting your in put in also, sure has blessed me tremendously.

Job 33:4
"[It is] the Spirit of God that made me [which has stirred me up], and the breath of the Almighty that gives me life [which inspires me]"
In Genesis, the Bible tells us that God breathed life into Adam. Not only does God breathe life into our physical bodies, He breathes life into our dreams and desires. He breathes new life and inspiration into your heart. I believe, even right now, He’s breathing a bigger vision into your spirit. One scripture says, “It’s not by our might. It’s not by our power. But it’s by the breath of Almighty God." As God breathes on your life, things are going to get easier. Negative situations are going to turn around. You’re going to have wisdom beyond your years. You’re going to have a resolve that will not give up, an attitude that refuses to quit.
Everywhere you go, you need to imagine the most powerful force in the universe is blowing in your direction. Believe that His favor and inspiration are on your life. Look for those opportunities that God will use to take you further than you dreamed. As you trust that God is breathing in your direction, you’ll see His hand of grace and favor moving you forward in victory in every area of your life!
Today's thought: I Thank You for breathing in my direction. Thank You for giving life to my dreams, hopes, and desires. I trust that Your favor is working on my behalf. I give You glory for every good thing in my life.
