I didnt have these problems until after surgery...I have been to the dr., ER and had a COLONOSCOPY done and still having serious problems with hemherroids. I havent posted about them on here because I was too embarressed, but now I cant take it anymore!! I drink more water, I do laxatives, I do benefiber, I do everything that I have been advised to do... and still having MAJOR discomfort and I am not sure what to do anymore? Please, someone help me! I am on painpillls for the discomfort. It is so bad I cant sit in one spot very long much less drive anywhere or walking isnt helping either... I have 1 maybe 2 days a week ( IF I am lucky) that I dont have any flair ups!! Please any advise would be great!!!!

youri pain pills are what isi causing the constipation thus the hemorriods.  it i a bad cycle to be on.
try very very warm sits baths...but quit taking the pain pills and it will help when you get off of them.

Lori,
I'm so sorry you're having such issues with hemorroids. I have had small ones since I had my second child. I don't usually have many issues with them.

But if you're having a lot of problems, maybe you should check out Midwest Hemmorroid Treatment Center. I don't know much about it other than the commercials I've seen on TV. I think they talk about surgical and non-surgical treatment. Not sure if they have a website, but you could google it.

Good luck!

I have not had this problem but my DH has I know they it was very painful. The only relief he got was a warm bath with epsom salt in the bath, like 1/3 of the bag and sit for like 20 minutes twie a day until the pain was gone would usually have to do this for 4-6 days.  This is the only relief he ever got.  Hopes this works for you, Raynetta

Lori I have hemherroid flareups frequently.  I believe mine are caused from eating the wrong things==excessive carbs--This is my way of dumping I guess.  My primary doc suggested I take something like Metamucil, etc.  I tried that but couldn't stand to take it.  My daughter told me about Benefiber.  It completely dissolves in just about anything.  I add it to my water (which I then add the flavoring to) and I never know it's there.  This has really helped my problem.  Also, getting in the hot tub when they're bad usually takes care of the pain (or tub).
