Joshua’s finally words to the people were harsh but very true.  They knew that all they had to do was continue serving the Lord and worshiping only Him and the rest of their days would be filled with blessing upon blessings but if they stopped they Lord would not protect them any longer, they would be under the curse and would be devoured by the enemy.  That’s sort of like us today, when we obey the Lord, keep His commandments in our hearts, do what He has taught us then we will flow in the milk and honey blessings of our lives.  The Lord is so gracious and kind to keep us safe and blessed but you know if we stop and start disobeying Him and His word our lives will be changed and the blessings stopped but unlike them, we have a Savior we can run to and ask forgiveness and He will helps us get back on the right track, if that makes any sense.  I’ve been there for sure, stopped doing what I was supposed to be doing, stopped obeying the rules of the surgery and looked what happened, I stopped flowing in the milk and honey, stopped losing weight and even gained, but Praise God I was able to turn around, ask forgiveness and move forward.  Its like that for all of us with any situation you might face.  Thank goodness we don’t have to build an altar but all we have to do is get on our knee’s and ask Him for His help and He will be right there with us every step of the way.  Wow, what a mighty and awesome God we really do serve.

It’s amazing how the devotionals run, it goes right along what we been talking about, flowing in the blessings, it says "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."   His promises are “Yes" and “Amen" meaning He keeps His promises to us and “Amen" meaning so be it, it’s a done deal like the devotional says.  All we have to do is keep our side of the deal, wow, that’s great isn’t it? Sounds easy enough and for the most part it is, we just have to make the decision to stand firm and keep His promises in our lives.

***Bec*** Like You I really love to see His anointing flowing in peoples lives, its amazing how you can tell who is anointed and who isn’t, it just flows all around them, even though its nothing we can really see but we can sure see it with our spiritual eyes.  Like you said yesterday, That thrills me, encourages me, excites me, urges me on to diligence, discipline, surrender, submission, laying down of my own self for what the Lord would have me do. That really IS easy to write but not so easy to live out but then I think for me if it was easy to live out then I wouldn’t have the feeling of accomplishment that comes when we do live out all of that in our lives.  I know I still struggle like the we all do but when I do accomplish the diligence and discipline and surrender and submission in my life it’s a feeling that goes way beyond anything I can do myself, isn’t it just great how the Lord gives us the feeling of accomplishment?  Thanks again for your words, they always help tie things together for me.  Have a safe and blessed week, don’t you and Paul work yourselves to hard.

2 Corinthians 1:20
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."

You may not realize it, but God has already said “yes" to His promises in your life. You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out blessing in your life.

It also says that His promises are “amen." That means “so be it"—it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but He has requirements for us to fulfill in order to see His promises come to pass in our lives. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithes in order to see the windows of heaven opened. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life. The good news is, when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. You stand secure knowing that God is faithful! Keep standing, keep believing, and keep following His commands because His promises are “yes" and “amen" in your life!

Today's thought: Thank You for Your faithfulness and goodness in my life. I believe that Your plan is to pour out Your blessing and favor on me. Give me the strength to obey Your commands all the days of my life.

I just needed to get on here for a second and let you know that I still take time to do the reading and read the comments.  I am still excited that I am still doing this every day (almost).  This is a first for me in my walk and I can see the Lord taking me places I have never been.

Last week's session w/Shelia was not good and I left feeling discouraged.  (all me, not her) Just because I allow some things to hinder me.  So I had been reflecting on all that and then yesterday's incident w/the snake.  (Growing up in the church and being a woman has caused me to be terrified of snakes.)  Whenever something happens that I can't understand, Shelia has told me to ask God "For what purpose....".  So all day I kept pleading to God "for what purpose?".  Surely there had to be a lesson or was He just trying to get my attention?  I mean.....a SNAKE!!!  There had to be something He wanted me to see.

I was completely freaked out all day and last night.  As we were sitting together last night I kept whining about the snake, playing it over in my head.  I finally said out loud  "Why do I let a creature that CANNOT hurt me, control me?"  Wham....talk about right between the eyes!  I knew then what the Lord wanted me to learn.  "Why do I allow a creature (Satan) who CANNOT hurt me, control me?"  (by control here I do not mean literal control as a puppet....but control as in I allow him to hinder me, therefore becoming useless for God)  So...for me....I believe this was the lesson the Lord had prepared for me.  I have allowed Satan too much control in my life.  I already knew this thru the lessons He has had me study but it took a literal shock to get it thru my thick skull.  So my next visit with Shelia will be interesting.

Just wanted to share this with you....I know it seems like I'm a weirdo but this really struck home for me and I wanted you to know my heart.  You cannot convince me that our Lord doesn't have a sense of humor!  This lesson learned is actually quite funny!
