Daily Devotional

Psalm 37:5
"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will."

Commitment is a very important word in life. It's is an essential part of your job, your marriage and your relationship with God. In the Bible, when God says that He is committed to you, He means committed no matter what. He wants you to commit everything you do to Him, so that He can help you succeed. You can't be the employee, spouse, or friend God wants you to be without having complete commitment to the cause. The same is true, possibly even more so, in your relationship with Christ. He wants you to commit everything you do to Him because He truly does desire good things for you. You just have to be willing to give it all to Him.

Today's thought: God, help me to be totally committed to You, because I know You are to me. Thank You for promising to help me if I turn my commitments over to You.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

what a great word , commitment, in todays world it seems like no one knows what this word reallyu means, they are commited till something bad happens and then the commitment is over with. Isnt it wonderful to know that God is commited to us and is faithful till the end? that is the sort of commitment we all need daily to the other things in our life too.

Good Morning My Friend,

Am home at least for a day.... I have been keeping up with the reading and boy has it been "soundness" to my mind this past week.

I'm so very very thankful for the peace that is in my home... it is always good to get back home!

The proverbs have spoke to me so very plainly this past week....

...in the way of righteousness there is life...

From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence.  He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.  Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advise.

Had to get back in here and add today's proverbs as it goes right along with the others as well:

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.  He who scorns instruction will pay for it, but he *****spects a command is rewarded.  The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.

Boy is there such truth in so little words in the Proverbs! Makes me want to strive in my own life to live up to the "righteousness", "advise", "wisdom", "diligence" and all the things we have been taught the life of believer will profit from!  It brings success!

The Word... it encourages me each day to go on ahead and do the things I know to do that is right... whether it is eating, work, giving, or just striving to be the kind of person the Lord will be pleased with.

Going to be a busy week again and will be gone most of it... but I will keep up with the readings and be back as I can.

I was so very sorry to hear of Brenda Nutt's troubles and am praying each day that the Lord will minister to her in a real and special way!

Blessings to all!!
