What a site that must of been to see the Jordan River parted just like the Red Sea and for all of those people to cross it on dry land.  Seeing the Ark of the Covenant standing there in the middle while all of those people crossed before it had to of been a site to see, what a miracle in itself.  I kept wondering how in the world they were gonna cross that river with the Ark, now I know.  Thought the Jordan isn’t near as big as the Red Sea, that was still just as big a miracle as with Moses, if those people couldn’t see how big God is then I don’t know what will have to happen to get their attention.  Wouldn’t that have been something to see in person? I really think Joshua is going to be such good reading, gonna be hard not to get ahead of myself.

I came across this short devotional and thought it’d be good to share for a change.  It’s so right, if we can fill up on the Holy Spirit rather then foods we aren’t suppose to eat we will be better off, besides like it says, the Holy Spirit is fat free!

***Bec*** Thank you for all your encouragement and prayers, sure means a lot and has been so helpful.  We will miss your posts but know you’ll be busy, you and Paul don’t work to hard, be careful and you both will be in our prayers.  Thanks Again.

Daily Devotional

Luke 4:1-2

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

Forty days without food. The thought boggles the mind. And yet, Jesus was able to do it. Though we are not Jesus, we do have the same source of comfort and strength as Jesus did: the Holy Spirit. If we will concern ourselves with filling up with the Holy Spirit, then we will not have so much time to fill up with other things. Just as Jesus was sustained through the forty days, we also will be sustained by the Spirit of the living, loving God.

Today's thought: Filling up with the Holy Spirit satisfies, and it isn't fattening!
