I'M IN LOVE
HaHa!! No Not With A Guy but with fruit. Before surgery I hated all fruit except for strawberries and peaches. I loved the smell of cantaloupe but couldn't stand the taste, and pineapple omg no way no how. Now I can't get enough pineapple, I eat it plain, I drink the juice, cook and grill with it.
I'm loving all fruit but the only thing I haven't tried yet is strawberries because of the seeds. I have looked all through my binder and haven't been able to find anything on them. Do any of you think it would be ok to go ahead and try them or should I peeled the outside to get the seeds off? Thanks

i LOVE fruit too!!! It's so expensive right now but I buy it anyway. It's a healthy snack for me and I love it. Sometimes I even add some sugar free whipped topping for an added treat. I looked in my binder and I could have strawberries at 3 months out so you being 5 months I think you'll be safe. The seeds are so tiny that I really don't see them causing a problem. But to be completely safe just call and ask your surgeon. Welcome to the world of sweet treats!!!

You know, I have found that I love fruit now too!! It used to be I could of never satisfied my craving for sweets with fruit, but had to have cookies, cake or whatever, I think once you kick the sugar addiction, everything that's naturally sweet just tastes better. I eat strawberries (dipped in splenda) all the time, never any problems. hope that helps, if in doubt call your surgeon or just try a couple at a time and make sure they stay where their supposed too lol.
