Is there anyone around Moberly......

Hello all. I thought I would ask to see if I can get any replies. I have sent out emails on other various sites asking if there are any pre or post people and I get no reply. So I have made up my mind either no one wants to admit to living up here and saying they have or are thinking of having the surgery or I live in the boonies.. lol
 I just feel all alone. I get on here each nite and see how well some of you are doing and how you have the support of family, friends, local support meetings. I know you are all probably saying another pity party. Let me explain somethings. I currently live with my Mom who has 2 types of cancer. I work full time. I am going to school online.  We only have 1 car and it does well to get us around here in town and on the days we have to go to Columbia for Chemo. My bestfriend/sister in law lives with us. My other 2 sisters do not live here and they have families of their own. They don't care exactly what happens to me at all. I have 2 nephews and 2 nieces whom I Love dearly. They are the ones I am doing this for as well as for me. I want to be here for a long long time. When I had the orginal open rny done on August 22, 2002 I had 1 nephew and both nieces. My surgery was actually the day between both of my nieces birthday's.
 I am sched to have the revision done on April 7 at University Hospital in Columbia with Dr. De La Torre. I am scared and he has told me this is going to be the hardest surgery and it may require me to be in the hospital more than 3 days.  
 Sorry if anyone thinks bad of me what just wanted to know if I had anyone I could talk with.

Becky my husband has a cousin that lives in Clark, she has had the gastric bypass, her name is Pam Barns, I know you could reach her by calling her parents Homer and Betty Colley in Clark...hopes this helps....vesta

I get that way every once in a while and maybe we can meet and have a cup of coffee or something.  I won't be able to get that way because I can't drive that far yet but it won't be long now I am getting stronger and stronger everyday.

Becky im not sure where Moberly really is and i know on here isnt the same as someone in person....the only time i have anyone in person is once a month at meetings since i live about as far south as you can get without being in Arkansas...but i know that all i have to do is get on here and i have instant connection....so let us know and there is always someone around...ok...i hope we can help you in some way....

Hi, I'm not in Moberly but I'm in Columbia. I see you had your original surgery with Dr. Fabito. I did as well. I had surgery on 9/27/04 and have lost 200 lbs.   I have been doing fine except for some bladder problems. I went to a new doc and long story short I have been diagnosed with early stages of MS. So I have exchanged the super morbid obesity for another disease. But I'm thinking it is manageable with new drugs, etc.  Let me know when you're going to be in Columbia. I'd be glad to meet you.  April 7 is just around the corner! May I ask why you decided to have a revision? Just curious.
