WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

ANOTHER  pretty day right? Now I think it is suppose to rain ...our company were so much fun...she said she was so sad that she wasn’t here when everything was in bloom....i told her they would just have to come back when it was....

 

I guess today I will be picking up the laminate flooring for the guest house...went to Home depot this morning and for some lumber that was suppose to go on sale today...when we go t there they said it wsa all gone all ready.  Sure it was....

Any way went to Lowes and they had some like it for the same price. Lol so got it. it isn’t the best in the world but will make the floors look so much nicer and warmer too.  now have to decide a few other things ....

 

Is suppose to be back up in the 70s I think Sunday...Friday was the first day of Spring...

I hope it is and isn’t just fooling us.

 

We have really enjoyed our company this week end....or almost week end lol ....have felt like we have known them for ever, and this is just the second time that we have seen them...we met them at a CMA rally in Hatfield and just clicked...

 

Well was going to  get the garden fence up today but looks like it might not happen since it keeps trying to rain....we might get it up in between showers ....i guess we need the rain so im not going to complain. 

 

 

BEC::::::: I know you are in 7^th heaven with your daughter home...hope you are having good times and getting lots of hugs and kisses in..

Well duh Bec  yeah I see Pauls pictures on the profile now too....love them. And if you know Paul it makes them even greater lol....so has he made cookies since then? Or was that a once in a lifetime thing? Joe makes himself lots of cookies and cakes too even , brownies and such  he is pretty good at it.

 

Well is it raining there too this morning? Hope you have some inside plans with daughter.

 

Yeah isn’t it neat that we can sit on our guys laps again? makes me feel young and frisky lol .....you go girl.

 

 

ANDY:::::: how did Susan make it thru the night? I hope she did well, she looked well when you all got home....good color and all. I was as pale as a ghost after I got home from Sedalia after surgery....

Did Chrissy ever settle down after you  all got home. Lol that was too funny how she was just like a kid so excited that you all were back.....she doesn’t do really well when you all gone but Meko does fine.....Chrissy gets upset and you can tell that she is so sad....she lets me take care of her now but is still a sad baby....you reckon you all have spoiled her some???

V ESTA:::::: what in the world are you doing with a bowling ball? Lol  hopefully I can get down there next month....it isn’t that far don’t know why we don’t visit back and forth more....Joe was saying the other day that Virgil needs to come up and go fishing with him. The white bass are biting like crazy right now and that means that it wont be but about a week till Crappie will be biting too....do you all have a good place down there to go mushroom hunting? They will be up before long...when those dogwoods start in.

 

 

SUGAR::::: well are you ready for Joe and I to come help you with those flower beds? Got all your stuff? Hopefully it wont be pouring down rain....and will be nice and hot and sunny....got some good ideas for some pretties in the front there that will give you some pretty color and come back yearly too especially for right in front, then you still can plant some things taller in the back...that will be there yearly too.

Will bring some of my seed and plant catalogs so you can look at them...ok?

 

 

PEGGY::::::: so how is the tailbone today, after dancing the night away? Get you a foam pillow to sit on maybe that will help the sitting part. You know if you broke it there isn’t much they can do except charge you money and tell you that it will heal on its on lol but I know how much that can hurt ive done the same thing.

Sure cant wait till you and the other northerners get to come down to see me....im anxious to come up there the end of April for your sale...

 

 

SUSIE:::::: yea it is almost Monday and get to see you again , am excited for anyone else you can drag with you too.....

On your energy level have you had labs done since surgery? Maybe it is time to have that done if not. And even if you have , call or email Margie and tell her and see what she can suggest ... I would say vit B 12 or iron is low maybe....anyway give Margie a call. Ok no since in being tired and feeling bad...we do have a tendency toward being anemic....so check....

Good Morning Mimi and Mo...

Golly busy busy busy! 

Well Paul has nearly finished his chicken coop except for insulating it... I had to laugh Mimi when you asked if he was putting an air conditioner in it!  He would if I'd let him! Those 8 chickens will be spoiled rotten just like Tito is!  He has fixed the chicken house so he can put a heat lamp in there when it is REAL cold.  And then he put hardware cloth in the gables so he can take the two pieces of siding in each end off in the summer and they can get a breeze when they are roosting! 

We had to run to town yesterday and get some teramyacin, they are pecking at each other and two have places on there heads where it is not good.  We also got a blue light and hung a cd in the pen they can peck on... hopefully all those things will correct the problem... they sure are establishing a "pecking order" already.  Wouldn't it be just terrible to be the one that is pecked on their whole life!!!  Makes me kind of sad.  Oh well.... Paul is watching after them like he "birthed" them ALL!!! ~ha

We are hoping to get the taters and peas in this morning before it starts to rain here... if not we will as soon as it dries out again....  Paul disked it last night and around the lagoon that he had worked on earlier... need to plant grass there...  we have to work on the strawberry beds here real soon too.

It was sooo sooo sooo good to see my Jo last evening! We are going to piddle around here all week I know she will sleep the better part of two days she usually does... she keeps such a grueling schedule when she is at school it takes a bit for her to wind down when she comes home.  She is going to get her graduation announcements fixed and some letters written... she will be taking trips to Dallas, St. Louis and Philly between now and graduation... she is such a busy girl!  Makes my life look so boring!

No Mimi my Paul has not stepped foot in the kitchen again!  He thought it was way too much work!!! But it sure was fun the ONE time he did... he attacked it with vigor just like he does everything else he sets his mind to do. 

Not to worry though... he has NO trouble setting up his "OLD MAN TABLE" when I have fixed him something! ~tee hee

Andy and Susan~ I hope you both are resting and enjoying those babies of yours... you will be back on the road before you know it!  Sleep well!

Am thinking of Angie as well and praying she is all better real quick!

Well it's about time to get out there and see what can be done in the garden.... and Paul and Jo want pancakes and sausage for breakfast.... someday I'm going to set and do nothing for a WHOLE day! ~ha

Sis Im ready for you I suppose...what do I need to be ready besides my landscape stuff?

I figure there is so much digging to do out there that if we get the digging done in one day I will be happy! Im not worried yet about what to put in it...just getting it ready will be a great accomplishment.

I found the landscape stones at Walmart for $1.88 each and Im just so cheap I am still looking trying to find them cheaper than that! lol

I will call the dirt guy at willard today too...

Cant wait for you to just come see me!

What will Joe want to eat while hes here. What does he like for lunches? and breakfasts?

Good Morning Y'all,

Well we finally made it home about 7pm or so, was so good to get home.  Susan did really well with the trip, we had to stop at walmart on the way home and she went in and walked a bit so she got her walking in for the day.  Got home and got her all settled for the night, she was so  happy to be in our own bed, those hospital beds are not made for sleeping lol.  Her heart rate is doing great and her blood sugars are leveling out really nice, said she's feeling pretty good today, gonna take her for a walk here soon.  She already can't wait for monday to get that drain out, im so glad i didnt have one. 

Jan Chrissy finally stopped her whining, noooooo she's not spoiled  LOL she hasnt left Susans site since we been home, if she cant see Susan she starts to whine lol. Susan made it through the night just fine, she slept really good she said, just couldnt get comfortable for awhile but once she got to sleep she only had to get up one time during the night. 

Bec thanks again for EVERYTHING you did for us, you dont know how much it really means to us.  Hope your having a great visit with your daughter, tell Paul thanks again too, you both are so special!!! 

Well I got things to get done, a womans work, well in my case a mans work lol,  is never done.  Y'all have a great weekend.

I am still not quite up to par but I am feeling better. I really think the seafood salad was the cause. I hope that is all it was. I do not need to be sick for my trip or to make DH sick.

I am happy Susan and Mary are doing good. Things will be moving fast for then now.

My youngest son has finally admitted he has a girlfriend and sent me a picture of them together. He is so secretive about it all. I even had to promise not to send copies of the picture to anyone. I think they are planning to move in together. He says in two bedrooms but I am not stupid. I cannot condone it but I cannot stop it  so I will have to accept it. I suspect there will be be a wedding as soon as they get their careers established.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone Monday at COF.
